Best lake trails in Benediktbeuern

This route follows stage 13 of the Maximiliansweg, a long-distance trail through Germany and Austria, beginning at the Tutzinger Hütte and ending in Lenggries. The path traverses the Bavarian Prealps beneath the cliffs of the Benediktenwand and passes the Probstalmhütte and Tölzer Hütte. The stage leads from the Tutzinger Hütte in a leisurely hike over the numerous alpine pastures to the Jochbergalm. From here it goes steeply down to the Kesselberghöhe, where you cross the road coming from Walchensee. The stage destination is the well-known Herzogstandhäuser, a popular excursion destination from Walchensee.
