Best historic site trails in Benediktbeuern

This route follows stage 13 of the Maximiliansweg, a long-distance trail through Germany and Austria, beginning at the Tutzinger Hütte and ending in Lenggries. The path traverses the Bavarian Prealps beneath the cliffs of the Benediktenwand and passes the Probstalmhütte and Tölzer Hütte. The Benedikter adventure trails include a raised bog trail as well as the sound, butterfly and barefoot trails. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on the adventure trails. From the maypole in Benediktbeuern (630 m) to the monastery and continue westwards through the moss to Loisach. There turn right heading NE along the very nice singletrail to Schönmühl (600m). There in an easterly direction up to the road and next to it on the cycle path for 1km in a southerly direction. In the left-hand opening the forestry and the partly somewhat overgrown single trail along the Steinbach in a southerly direction, over the B11, to Hofstätt / Bichl.
