The route starts at Aschaffenburg station and initially leads along the main road towards Lohr, to the left of the motorway. This section of the route is less beautiful. After crossing the motorway at the end of Hösbach, however, the route becomes more beautiful. The country road is busier, but the section down to Mespelbrunn is quieter.
