The route runs through the forest for long stretches with some beautiful viewpoints. There are two longer climbs from Kinzigtal to Adelsberg and from the Naturfreundehaus to the hamlet of Brandsteig. Steep descent to Schramberg. Alpirsbach also has a very interesting town centre and there are some historical highlights along the way, such as the remains of a Roman control station.
