Best hard trails in Ammerbuch

Wonderful Loop in the Schönbuch Nature Park, Baden-Württemberg. A beautiful round that leads over both paved and forest paths and offers great views, wildlife and historic castles. There are places to stop for refreshments at the starting point in Hohentringen Castle or at the Naturfreundehaus am Stellberg. The start is at Pfäffingen railway station. From there, the trail first leads through orchards and forest to the disused Wendelsheim quarry. Now a section of the Wendelsheim nature trail leads through the remains of the exposed sandstone until you reach the fairytale lake covered in duckweed after a short while. The trail continues through forest and orchards to Wurmlingen. From there, you climb up to the Wurmlingen chapel, from where you have a beautiful view of the Neckar and Ammer valleys....
