Lovely place to walk

What a brilliant day out, lovely scenery lots of photo opportunities and fantastic landscape, and Erddig hall to top it off. 10 out of 10.

Well maintained easy navigable route. Few muddy patches but otherwise solid underfoot. Erddig is a national trust site and is our favourite. The hall a grounds are beautiful. The whole route is in the grounds. A lot of the walk is in wooded areas. Great walk Parking is free.

The Aqueduct was Aqueshut but apart from that, this was a really good walk. Definitely do it anti clockwise. It was so windy at the top of the Castell Dinas Brân that I had to do a bit on my bottom . All in all a really good adventure. Trevor/Trevor woods is gorgeous

Lovely trail, seemed a lot longer than advertised but probably because of the castle. If you run out of time like us, you can short cut on Offas Dyke out of the castle grounds and rejoin the trail further along. You can see the dotted trail on the map, cutting across

good walk for dogs, albeit sometimes on the lead due to sheep. Canal is a really nice strole.

So Like an idiot I spelt the name wrong. The walk starts from Trevor Basin in the main car park (£3 all day - What 3 words origin.grafted.bells) Follow the path to Trevor Basin and go up and over the little bridge over the quays. Exit by the main gate and cross the road to the canal path to Llangollen. Cross over the canal at the first bridge and then at the next bridge pick up Offa's Dyke way and cross the bridge into the field. From here on until you get to Castell Dinas Bran follow Offa's Dyke Way, it well marked with an acorn. When you get to Dinas Bran you have a choice, go up to the Castell, and have a look at the fantastic scenery and then take the path down the other side. If you dont fancy it then there is another path that goes to the right and round the Castell mound. The path takes you down to Llangollen which is a great tourist location and recommended, as is the Bridge End Public house. When you get to Llangollen you will cross the Llangollen Canal. If you go to the town you will need to return to it and turn right along the footpath. Its then a straight and flat 4 miles along a multi modal wide canal path, returning to Trevor . Take the opportunity either on the way out or on the way back to cross the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, you wont regret it I promise
