A lovely walk with panoramic views. A slight elevation to a plateau beneath Craig Arthur and onto World’s End. Good footing throughout.

Really enjoyed this walk...took 2 hours approx ...changes in the beautiful contrast between green shady tracks - the walk between the pine trees, view into the quarry, the boggy forest and a nice country lane to finish off the walk. Loved it!

The Daear Ddu route is my preferred route, because it’s more challenging in terms of a steeper ascent than if you were to start at Plas y Brenin. You can do the hard part first and enjoy a leisurely descent. It’s also more enjoyable because of varied scenery. I enjoyed a picnic at the top on a clear day and the views are excellent. Lakes, woodland, mountains: perfect.

Enjoyable trail. I found it fairly easy in terms of a quick ascent, with one steeper but short section reaching the peak. Pleasant views, and a very quiet and peaceful area. There’s a bench by the llyn/lake to watch the geese on the lake.

Our 1st All Trails walk which we needed to adapt a little as we were walking from home with Wales still in lockdown. We thoroughly enjoyed the walk in to the countryside. A real stress reliever. Great directions and easy to follow. Nice dry weather recently so no mud on the walk today. Some great scenery along the way and we will certainly look forward to more once we're able to travel again.

Beautiful place, amazing circuit easy to follow hard to get lost!

lovely walk, shame about all the dog mess bags lost count of how many I seen just thrown everywhere.

I liked this trail. Mostly ready going because you're already at the top of the mountain but with one or two bits to get the heart pumping. Good views of Caerphilly and, at one point, a great view of Cardiff and St Mellons. About 3.5-4 hours with a 10 year old in tow. Several lunch spots along the way.

This was a lovely trail with plenty of options to diverse away from the route. The views were breathtaking!

Really poorly sign posted, you cannot complete this walk without having to check your phone at all times. Lovely views however and a great walk

We followed the start of this route and wandered off on our own little adventure to the peak. Please be aware that the second half of our walk is pretty strenuous and not to be taken lightly. The paths are not easy to find but the views are worth it.

Some overgrown trees but enjoyed the walk and the views.

I loved the walk, especially after I bent a wheel and had the chance to push my bike all the way back, really enabled me to see the great views!

Great trail, a little tricky if you can’t lift your dog over most styles/ they can jump them(luckily ours can jump anything!). Section closed due to footbridge being washed away but we managed to get through anyway! Lots of lovely and different scenery!

We took the PYG trail up to the summit and then came down along the Miners Track. This way was really nice as the Miners track is relatively flat most of the way but then is very steep and scrambly up to the summit. So coming back down the miners is much easier than going up it. The PYG track is challenging in some places with climbing across rocks and some icy steps. Please make sure you have suitable footwear! At the summit the wind was unbelievable, if you faced it for too long you couldn’t breathe properly and it would also blow you over! Many people lost hats and gloves here. Beautiful walk but don’t underestimate it.
