very good and intresting place for family day out but no way to castle with the pram. still reconend, play ground and other atraction for walking kids

Really enjoyed this walk...took 2 hours approx ...changes in the beautiful contrast between green shady tracks - the walk between the pine trees, view into the quarry, the boggy forest and a nice country lane to finish off the walk. Loved it!

Must walk such a lovely place

Our 1st All Trails walk which we needed to adapt a little as we were walking from home with Wales still in lockdown. We thoroughly enjoyed the walk in to the countryside. A real stress reliever. Great directions and easy to follow. Nice dry weather recently so no mud on the walk today. Some great scenery along the way and we will certainly look forward to more once we're able to travel again.

Great walk, my 6yo loved it! The uphill was fine, not too hard, and all in all it took us 3.5h with few rests and good packed lunch. A bit too much walk on the road though...

We followed the start of this route and wandered off on our own little adventure to the peak. Please be aware that the second half of our walk is pretty strenuous and not to be taken lightly. The paths are not easy to find but the views are worth it.

Great trail, nice and green with beautiful views of the River Usk. Definitely a favourite in the area.

Great trail, a little tricky if you can’t lift your dog over most styles/ they can jump them(luckily ours can jump anything!). Section closed due to footbridge being washed away but we managed to get through anyway! Lots of lovely and different scenery!

We took the PYG trail up to the summit and then came down along the Miners Track. This way was really nice as the Miners track is relatively flat most of the way but then is very steep and scrambly up to the summit. So coming back down the miners is much easier than going up it. The PYG track is challenging in some places with climbing across rocks and some icy steps. Please make sure you have suitable footwear! At the summit the wind was unbelievable, if you faced it for too long you couldn’t breathe properly and it would also blow you over! Many people lost hats and gloves here. Beautiful walk but don’t underestimate it.

Great walk but very long and challenging in bad conditions.

Amazing trail with great views on a clear day.

Easy hike with beautiful views at the top

Great walk, its not all that challenging but is full of beauty sights. Really safe for dogs too, with the only precarious part being the walk along the river if the water is flowing rough.

This is a nice trail, easily completed in an afternoon. If walking from Caerphilly Castle the sign posts for the No. 4 cycle path are easy to follow to pick up the trail.

Nice hike. Not too difficult. We changed the route as plenty of paths/ options to go in different directions. Very muddy when its been wet so best to wear boots if heading out and around Sugerloaf.
