Was incredible in the snow

Very scenic trail, had a lovely day. If you want to finish the whole trail make sure leave yourself plenty of daylight. Most of the path is dry and solid but there are some bits that are a little wet. You can still see snow at the side of the mountains, no snow on the paths.

such a beautiful place.

The Carnedd Dafydd-Llewelyn traverse offers fantastic views of Snowdonia. We went slightly off-piste during our ascent and found it was very muddy and boggy. This section was short and quite possibly avoidable though and was followed by an excellent scramble up. Towards the top there was a small amount of snow with some deeper drifts. The ascent was moderate to easy. Not another person in sight.

Fantastic hike up a relatively steep incline to two beautiful lakes. So glad that I found found this place! God's country at it's best.

Got caught with my trousers down, no cover for dogging. Views are tidy enough.

Good dogging spots all along trail, 10/10 will shag again.

Lovely place. Have to pay to get into Castle though. We paid £16 for a family of four but we we enjoyed it. Lovely walks around the area too and if you fancy it, a lovely restaurant near the castle.

The whole trail was covered in snow today, from top to bottom. kids came along for fun. I was the worst dad ever half way up and the best dad ever when we finished with a nice cup of coffee 2 and a half hours later

Fantastic trail that rewards you with some spectacular waterfalls the further you go. Be careful not to end up on the other side of the river on the way back to the start point

Fantastic walk. Very accessible with views to reward your effort. Weather permitting its hand down the best view of Snowdon you’ll get.

My first solo hike. Moderately easy to find paths. Recommend setting out early to avoid the people traffic in on the way up.

Hiked Snowdon a few times. Loved every second of it :-) The Pyg is easy to follow and I would say moderate rather than hard. Enjoy the beautiful views :-)

Really good climb and a rewarding down hill trails. The trails are good for all riders as I found the trail abit too easy and stepped up to the black trails.

During winter times , much less crowded .
Wonderfull viewss , easy acces .

A rather mild January morning with hardly a breeze but temperatures soon plummet and the winds picked up the closer we got to the summit. Visibility was reduced due to fog at the summit but this just adds another dimension to the whole journey. The decent was much more difficult with my joints. All in all a wonderful day though. Highly recommended x

Beautiful views, moderate intensity with a little more challenging scramble at the end. Would recommend!

A regular trail run route (minus Cribyn!). The best way to walk the central Brecon Beacons.

Added knowledge bonus for superhero DC fans, these falls were used for filming of Batman Returns (bat cave exit).

great climb, amazing views! weather was perfect, not a cloud in the sky! climbed 17th November 2018

The scramble at the end up true start of the climb to the summit can be hard going at times but the views are outstanding

For the people who don’t want to or can’t hike up to the top, a moderately challenging climb up to the second lake of Glaslyn will give you beautiful views after which you could choose to return.

You can take the easy road by simply circling the lake at lake level (very easy road) or you can climb up towards devils kitchen and make a slightly larger circle (this hike). There are some places you need to use your hands to scramble over some rocks (north-west part of the walk) but the view up there is beautiful and if you take your time it is doable for most people and you’ll still feel nicely challenged on the hike. Would rate it easy to moderate, but only moderate for a very small part.
