Recommend, but this path does include some areas where it's off trail and overgrown. We accidentally went the opposite way. When you go to the highest point, if you're going the right way there will be a very steep way down. I think it's a little dangerous, but maybe we went the wrong way. After that it's rocky and steep again. Mostly forestly areas. You however have to walk on many roads and be careful. You also have to problem solve and find ways to cross motorways, but there are bridges. Mostly try to follow the path.

Hiking

Great hike, beautiful views. However it is just too busy. You would need to get to the base of the mountain for 5/6am

Brilliant walk, lovely views however this is a very popular route so does get busy. I recommend setting off early, pre 6am.

Hiking

A trail with the majority being forested and under tree canopy. The odd break in the trees offer expansive views over the Wye Valley with the Giant’s Cave and Eagle’s Nest being two good stopping points. The towns of Tintern and Chepstow provide amenities and facilities, with the remains of Tintern Abbey and Chepstow Castle enchanting the camera. Long steep inclines not for the faint-hearted and a few styles to climb.

Hiking

A lot steeper in parts than expected but still very doable. Got a little confused when we were directed by app to walk straight through a field full of sheep but soon realised that we were going the right way and the sheep were not fazed at all. Lovley walk with some nice features.

It’s nice trail walk/hike. Walk back down a canal is a bit boring through.

Easy to follow path from Ogwen Cottage. Big boulder slabs walking to the lake, gravel trail path around lake. Different everyday.

Walking

lovely walk through different habitats with great views. forest trail partially blocked due to recent landslide but it's ok to scramble over if you're sure footed and agile. lovely little church at Brockweir just on left as you enter village from the south east side.

Great little walk. Relatively easy in comparison to a lot of the other Welsh walks. Some great views of the lakes.

Hiking

I have done this route lots of times, it is my favourite way up snowdon and also the quietest. Most of it is quite easy going, until it gets sharply steeper, finishing with half an hour or so of scrambling. So wear appropriate clothing and footwear, and don't carry ridiculously big/heavy backpacks because it will slow you down. The last bit is quite dangerous if you aren't confident, and the way is not marked. I have a few times seen people get quite upset and give up at this part, so if you are looking for more of a hike/walk, I would suggest one of the other routes, which offer equally great views and sense of achievement. :)
