Good walk and you bag two hills Moel Y Golfa and Breidden Hill with Rodney’s Pillar. Some paths very difficult and muddy in places. It’s a bit hard also in places to follow the exact path as some signs are not visible and in one place the farmer has closed the path and put no entry sign up even though the obvious path is trough his field! I checked on my OS map and Kamoot and the pathway does go through his field. You’ll just have to risk it or find another way round. Great views though at the top of Moel Y Golfa and Breidden hill across to Welshpool and Snowdonia. Well worth the hike and a good day out.

Lovely walk. Dogs kept on leads most of the time due to sheep & pheasant breeding. Great views.

Started to do this route but we had a friends dog with very little legs and it was too overgrown. Will try again without it. Beautiful country
