Really enjoyed it. plenty of encounters with wild poneys. I would advise to go up the less steep side!

I really enjoyed this. Dog and children friendly.

this is a good hike, especially for people such as myself that aren't that fit.
there is a fair climb that levels out a bit closer to the top and the views are beautiful. well worth it.

good Sunday morning walk. but can get busy on a nice day so go early.

We approached this from the south side and then followed the footpath.
A lovely climb to gain height and some fabulous views on a beautiful sunny day. Great 2 hour walk.

Was a long walk for my children my 3 Yr old 7yr old and 15yr old took us double the time as stated well worth all the effort as it is so beautiful once u reach the top and along the journey to the top could do with a refreshment van when u reach the top as we did run out of drinks and a nice ice cream wouldn't of gone amiss

my most favourite walk of all time, stunning views

Took a 4am trek to the summit to watch the sunrise, absolutely stunning!! Met a few sheep along the way too. An amazing walk with some of the best views in Wales

For an afternoon's hike Skirrid is reasonably challenging especially in the winter. The path takes you up through mixed woodland and up a track with steep steps which can be very slippery coming down. Once past this clambering bit you are onto the slope up to the trig point. Breathtaking views on both sides...across to Gloucestershire to the East and to the West you are next to the Sugarloaf. I love this place.
