Photos of Monmouthshire Hiking Trails

We set off from the Priory at Llanthony and were picked up at the Hay Bluff carpark, so we didn't do the final section into Hay on Wye. Highly recommend this walk! The climb up from Llanthony is quite steep, but the insanely beautiful views are a good excuse for having a few rests on the way up! Once you've climbed the initial hill it's mostly fairly flat, with some of the most stunning views I've ever seen. There were ponies and sheep grazing all the way along the trail, heather was flowering and whimberries in fruit! And when we made it down to the car park below Hay Bluff we found an ice cream truck, which is always a bonus!
