Circular route from Car park Pen-y-Pass taking the Pyg Track to the top of Snowdon and returning via the Miners Track back to Pen-y-Pass. Take the Pyg Path up and Miner trail back for an easier go. Parking can be difficult! You will need to pay for parking on the side of the road unless you get further away from the trailhead. Follow all signs as tickets are sometimes given here. Great views from the top!Show more

Excellent challenging route where a head for heights is a must. Can be very exposed in places with only a knife edge ridge to walk along. Very difficult in bad weather (rain high winds, ice etc) and not advised for beginners but on clear day views are amazing. Show more

A nice challenging walk with great views on a clear day. Note: many users say this trail gets difficult 3/4 of the way up especially with heavy wind. People also tend to walk down the train track (top section only) which makes coming down easier.Show more

The path is marked clearly by wooden posts with a white band. The actual walk is mainly on offroad paths apart from when you have to walk up the north side due to the lakeside railway. The road is fairly quiet and is a steady climb up. As you pass a few houses the path veers right onto a track heading downhill - this leads you down through woods towards the slate works, passing a nice waterfall and featuring some great views across to Snowdon. You eventually emerge at the Slate works hospital and then it's down to the railway station & slate museum - these tend to close at 5pm. The path follows the road out of the museum but bears right over a foot bridge, then right again over some grass.Show more
