Amazing walk, good challenging ascent and descent on loose rock. Beautiful views.

Amazing views, beware it is the busiest of hikes in the uk but a must do!

nice and quiet walks ... although very tree roots along the river path making me slow down ... then going towards Criccieth nice view ... little rains and very muddy tho.

Excellently well maintained trail with good bridges and paths. Not too rocky though the path can seem uneven in places when there are lots of leaves on the ground. We did this on one of the wettest days of the year and I could have done it in trainers. Parking can be an issue, there are 3 laybys but they can only fir 2-4 cars each.

The ‘ easier ‘ route up the mountain..... it is very punishing at times and on the occasion I did this route the cloud cover was phenomenal, as you go under the final railway bridge you are at the edge literally of the mountain with a very big drop and because of the low cloud cover this was very difficult to make out until the last minute. Just stick to the path and not wonder away from it as this section. All in all it is a great hike with some great views around you including the notorious’ Crib Goch ‘. I would recommend this route to anyone on your first summit of Snowdon.

I did this route once for sunset and a few weeks later for sun rise, the views of the lakes early hours in the morning are phenomenal just as the sun is starting to rise. It was just as busy at 4am in the morning as it was at 7pm at night, I find the ascent a lot easier than the long winded Llanberis ( the easier route ) but if the weather is bad during the slight scramble it can have its typical dangers.

Amazing start on Pyg track with beautiful views of the valley, a lot of of stairs made of hard rock, great climbing - don’t forget to drink, it can be a bit challenging! But the reward is magical, a perfect view of the Snowdon horse shoe, lakes, and mountains. Grab your best shoes, some rocks can be slippery. After that amazing start things will get messy with a lot of people coming from the very easy miner’s track and aiming for the summit: crowded! Ending with miner’s track is quite disappointing: views are very nice, but it’s very touristic, not in a good way. Even in november!

Very easy path before the climbing, with very nice views on the lakes and mountains. However, the path is so easy that it is really a sunday-walk, totally crowded. Easy path ends in a more difficult session with a bit of rock climbing to the summit. Be prepared to be stopped by non-prepared people. Still beautiful but mount Snowdon is too touristic for me. We did it in november so we expected a bit less people. I wouldn’t recommend to do it in summertime. Pro-tip: Parking at the start of this walk is quite a nightmare, small and expensive parking (£10 for the day).

seems longer distance due to sharp inclines but the views are well worth it!

I would recommend this amazing but tricky walk for experienced younger families, first time older families and experienced dog walkers. The hike starts with a rocky but not to difficult set of ‘stairs’. It then continues into a slightly easier path and follows into flat ground. Towards the end, the climb slightly narrows and becomes trickier but the views are definitely worth it. I would recommend hiking sticks and sturdy walking boots. This walk took my family and I around 3 1/2 hours (although this was our first time) The trains are mostly full so if you want to get one I would recommend pre booking although, there is also the option of walking down.
