#7 - Llangollen History Trail

This trail takes you through the beautiful countryside of the Dee Valley. There is the medieval castle of Dinas Bran (built c1260), industrial heritage museums and the tranquil rural religious delight of Llantysilio church. The route follows the River Dee past the Horseshoe Falls to Llantysilio Church. It then heads uphill to Valle Crucis Abbey and then to Castell Dinas Brân before heading back down to the river. Some of the walk has steep paths and stiles.

Llangollen is most well-known for the international Musical Eisteddfod held every July, and the Food Festival in October.
