Hiking

Firstly, not sure who designated this one as “easy”, but I’d say it’s definitely a moderate difficulty based on the outbound terrain. Firstly, direction of travel is important. As is the starting point. In addition to having the starting point as as the car park at Llangennith, you could just as easy use the car park at Rhossili and just start the walk there. Completely down to personal preference - or if you are staying at one of the locations camping, then based on convenience. We walked from Llangennith and being completely honest, we tackled the route clockwise - possibly a mistake. The first major obstacle is a 200 metre mountain that has an gradient in places of 40%. With a 12kg baby and carrier on back, it was a tough hike up, but once at the top, the views are stunning. From there, frankly and somewhat literally, it was all downhill. And with that in mind if you are of the mindset of getting the hard things out of the way first, I’d advocate taking the same route we did. If you want a generally easier route, I would suggest tackling the route anti-clockwise, which would see gentler inclines up the hills from the Rhossili side of the mountains. A great walk in general. The views are glorious. We quite like setting out from Llangennith and stopping halfway at Rhossili as there are plenty of places to stop for food and a pint before adjourning the return leg.

On roads pretty much all the way. Amazing view but not very interesting walk.

A bit muddy in places and have to cross a stream or two but a beautiful walk.

I just thought I’d leave a review for beginners in less than great shape, without a car, such as myself. I went there (Limeslade Bay) yesterday by bus from Swansea bus station. The bus left me very close to the path entrance and my walk from there to Langland Bay was very easy and enjoyable (great view too). Getting back to Swansea centre was only slightly tricky because the buses I was expecting (based on Goggle Maps) didn’t show up (when expected and that got me a bit restless). Unfortunately not many people know their way around there ON A BUS, so I ended up walking to Oystermouth Square (or the first bus stop I found on my way there), which was okay really. I just wish I had known from the start so as to not slow down, wait, start again etc. Great start though so enjoy!

Really enjoyed this walk, views are amazing. It is a bit tough on the back end of the walk so I’d leave lots of time so you’re not rushing at this point. Took us just under 4 hours. Very muddy in parts, especially at the national trust cottage.

Lovely views and we also saw seals! Footpath all the way round not too challenging. Would recommend catching sunset at the end .

How can't you love this route? For some good fun look at incorporating Tidenham tunnel into the route. It's about 1.5 miles long and the track has never been taken up.

Part of the trail closed but very simple to find an alternative route. An easy walk, easily done in 2 hours with gorgeous views

Parts of the trail have been closed off by Cardiff Council with no alternative signage or directions. Flooded and overgrown in areas with little maintenance from the council.

Great coastal trail! Parked at Manorbier then walked to FW East. We walked back on ourselves on the way back rather than heading inland and was about 12km in all. Great views along the coast - recommended!

A really lovely walk. Bit muddy on foot and a few steep climbs but all in all a very enjoyable walk. We also walked straight along the road to Saundersfoot on the way back and took a little shortcut (to miss the December rain..)

Lovely walk although part of the coast path was diverted due to maintenance. Didn’t detract from the views though.

Walking

Moderate walk around the Gt Orme with some wonderful views. I did the walk clockwise from Llandudno West Shore as the upward incline is steadier and easier to maintain a good pace. There is a cafe just before mid-way point going clockwise but it's advisable to carry a drink as it's quite a demanding walk. Otherwise, it's a nice way to pass a couple of hours (would've done it quicker if not stopping to take photos).
