We started at 6am and reached the summit at 10:15am with a 15 min break at the second hut. The path is well paved but we had a guide to organize pick-up/drop-off and to show us the trailhead etc. We were happy to support the local guides. Quite steep in some sections but the trek was most enjoyable. The views were breathtaking as well. Highly recommended to those who make it out to Sapa which we enjoyed immensely with our wonderful home stay at the Pomu House.

We tried to do it this morning, a failure. We wanted to do it without a guide and decided to go there for a departure at 5.30am. Our first mistake was to cross the ark to park on the right where many scooters were parked. The "rangers" of the guard post being very on the lookout, we had off the engine and whispered, they did not take long to arise to ask us to park elsewhere. We cooperated and returned to the arch on foot once the motorcycle was parked. Despite our determination and our few strides to join the beginning of the hike, we were pursued by rangers screaming and threatening (baton in hand, we can not say that their build has anything threatening). After 1:30 of parliament, the rangers did not want to know anything. So we went looking for a path that leads us to that of hiking and we found! Here's how to go for the mule heads like us: - when the building (guard post located to the right of the arch) is on your left, continue walking along the road towards the climb on about 50m - a small path is emerging in the jungle. You have to cross a small unstable stone wall. By following it you will come to an antenna (the latter is visible from the road) - following the path, you will fall on the official path (slab) that leads to the Love Waterfall (the deadlock in white on googlemap). - When you arrive at the slab road, turn left, that is, as if you were returning to the guardhouse. - Walk to the entrance of the hiking path which will be on your right, do not go too far to risk being seen again by the rangers (this link will help you to know the entry: http: // roadbeneathmyfeet .com / climbing-fansipan-mountain /) (Also, know that a camera is under the arch that can explain the vividness of the rangers towards intruders who cross the ark at 5 am) - you are on the path of hike, you have escaped the raging rangers who spend the night watching the unfortunate brave wishing to climb the summit, we wish you a lot of pleasure and do not hesitate to share your experience, we will be very happy to know that it could serve . In our case, the most "pug" ranger of the two was hidden and again we had to leave ... definitely.

This 9 mile circuit walk around Saigon included the landmarks I wished to see. The botanical/Zoological/amusement park was a pleasant respite from the congestion of the city. The Jade pagoda had wonderful Buddha statues and carvings. The national palace museum was interesting in it’s 1970s decor. The post office was also fun to visit. The walk had very congested traffic. The scooters went everywhere and do not obey any traffic rules. They expect to have right of way over pedestrians.

It was beautiful, thank you for sharing this circuit. I had a bike that came from my hostel, so not very suitable, but the weather was great so when it was necessary to ride, I pushed the bike, it was physical but it was worth it for the sight

I recommend this path to anyone who wants to have a great view. On the way up you have to climb some of it.

Incredible views on both sides. Stairs are interesting, start off short and long and end up as narrow and tall. Saw people of all ages and fitness levels doing it. Also many people get their wedding photos here, so that's how beautiful the views are. Highly recommended!!

In general, this road is easy. Although there is quite a bit of plastic waste but does not affect the wild sense. Do not go on the weekend, this road has many people know so it will be quite crowded.

Yen Tu is generally more of a tourist spot. Quiet throughout most of the year, but the masses arrive at the start of the year for Tet. The route starts at the local parking and builds it's way through the Yen Tu Legacy Hotel and then climbs upward towards the peak. most of the route is under tree cover, with extreme humidity and muggy conditions throughout the year. The route is predominantly stairs, a little over 10 000 stairs up. Although this is not a true hike, the stairs add an aspect of difficulty to the route.

Superb hike with views of the mountains and rice terraces. Entrance not obvious to see and at the entrance, clearly you will be bumped by Hmong women (who are nice passing by!) And they are your guide.

Incredible...

on Sapa Valley Trail

When we were trying to do this trail yesterday we were stopped on the muong hoa road as they wanted us to pay 70 000 per person. So we choose not to do the recommended trail, also they wanted to charge us a fee for entering cat cat village from below the valley. We decided to therefore walk down sapa through the rice fields on the way down and up the valley, to avoid the fees. So we did some parts of this trail and the rest we did on our own, which was no problem, but I would never recommend anyone doing it if it has just rained, as the path is very narrow and muddy. The Sa pa valley is however one of the best hikes we have ever done.

Very nice hike to see the village. Watch out for locals who will try to get you to hire them to be your guide. We ended up stopping our hike and pausing for about 15 minutes to get them to move along and stop trying to “guide” us. Very nice tour of the village.

Stunning views of Sapa, rice fields, valleys and villages. We were staying in Ta Van so followed the route down into the valley and continued on to Ta Van. Can imagine a fair portion of the route would be very slippery in the rain as lots of mud and small streams.
