Hiked Oct 14th- great, easy trail with about 0.5 mi total of mild elevation when coming back to the parking lot after the lake! Spotted a bull moose on the way to the lake- the highlight of the trip! Taggart lake deserves at least 10 minutes of quiet observation, it’s beautiful. Total time ~2 hours with several stops.

It will knock your socks RIGHT OFF. Then how will you cope? Sometimes this place looks like a Peter Jackson movie set. Minus the hobbits... unless your now sockless feet are hairy.

Nice workout of a hike with some decent elevation gain, especially if you live at lower altitudes. Worth it for the views alone.

A fun little hike with some elevation gain. Get the heart pumping without over doing it. Perfect for a lunch break.

We only hiked a short distance to kill some time before we could check in at the hotel. It was super windy and there's nothing to block the wind where we were on the open plains.

Surprised at how spectacular the falls are. Even though it’s steep, the trail in and out of the falls is smooth and a consistent grade. Would recommend.

The feeling when taking a swim in the lake while watching the snowy mountain tops is breathtaking.

Steep climb on switchbacks with stunning views of town, cache creek, Tetons, and woods canyon! Loved it!

Would do it again! Beautiful, changing landscape. Something for everyone.

Did it clockwise on Oct. 14th. Very snowy starting just before solitude lake and persisting over 2km past Holly lake. Given wind loading tracks are hard to follow at times and poles were a necessity. Snow shoes would have been great for the paintbrush divide after the initial descent.

Do all of this. Yellowstone canyon is a beaut!

Mommy and I decided to celebrate my 37th birthday by visiting Yellowstone. This was our first hike and it quite the leg burner. Half way through I feel and got a boo boo on my knee. Mommy kissed it and make it better. A must do!

Magnificent views and just enough elevation gain to feel the altitude. This is a really nice hike. Be aware that it is very rocky in some parts. Bring trekking poles. When we were there today the trail was very icy, but it didn’t detract from the beauty of the hike.

Beautiful easy trail! Gorgeous views along the way. It was about 6 miles to and from the waterfall. We did not do the loop around the lake. The only incline is a little up to the falls. My kids didn’t even complain!

Trail is obviously visible but there are a lot of social trails that confuse even the most seasoned hiker. Trail maps could be more clear of this trail being separate from the other trail (bridle loop). Handout maps could help but I understand they could get vandalized/messed with. Even separate color squares of the small loop vs. big loop with arrows pointing to specific turns on the trail could help. Overall beautiful hike, ultimately everything is a loop so you end up somewhere!

Great trail! Consider the weather before choosing to cross the boulder fields. I made it half way through before turning back due to the danger of the snow and ice.
