Beautiful hike. There is a creek crossing, so be prepared for that. Wildflowers and the occasional patch of snow made the hike even more interesting.

Hiked it on June 24th and the snow was 99% gone...on the trail that is! Beautiful hike. Somewhat steep, so plan accordingly. At a good pace with several breaks, it takes 2-2.5 hours round trip.

We climbed this mountain may 28th!! We lost the trail due to snow and was almost on all fours do to how steep it was. The view is absolutely stunning but boy was it hard work.

I did this hike in June of 2016 with my wife. Instead of doing this trail out and back, we took the Old Pass Road To Teton Pass Trail back up to our starting trailhead..... approximately a 10 mile hike total. After descending from the high views, the trail carves through some of the neatest forest hiking we have ever seen.

Nearly every step of this trail is paved with wildflowers. The sound of the creek rushing past and the iconic peak of the grand Teton ahead, I'd be surprised if another trail of similar difficulty in the area truly outshines Moose Meadows. While the trail gains a bit of elevation, it's fairly short, so an eager hiker could squeeze it in before leaving town or a more leisurely group could take it easily and enjoy the views without really breaking a sweat. There were many, many spots that looked like the perfect place to set up camp along the trail. Perhaps my favorite quality of all this trail had to offer is it's peacefulness. As moose meadows is outside of GTNP, we only encountered a handful of other hikers or backpackers when we hiked the trail on a very high volume day for GTNP and the surrounding area for viewing direct totality of the solar eclipse. This was truly a fantastic place to enjoy the solitude of the outdoors--and if you really want this to be the Best Day Ever, I recommend stopping at Moo's ice cream on the way back and enjoying it riverside behind the Bagels shop next door.

Steep up and precarious down. Great views when it isn't fire season.

Spectacular flowers, no bugs on our trip. Hardly any others on trail. Best wildflowers we saw during our week of hiking.

Very nice ride. Some heavy breathing at first. I wish the trail would be longer at the top.

What a view. Went early June and it was covered with snow. No snowshoes needed due to snow pac. one of the best views yet. It may take effort and many breaks but it is worth it at the top. Recommended that you bring a sled to to get down fast!

It is uphill and hard for sure! Took us about an hour and a half to get up to the top, but the view was breathtaking! Worth it! I would totally do it again!

This hike is a challenge no doubt- but the view from the top has to be one of the best views I've seen.

This hike is definitely worth the 1.6 miles to the top. It's straight up and not meant for sissys haha. When I went, my friend and his girlfriend gave up a half mile into it at the big rock which is also kind of a nice view. I was a real man and went to the top and ate my lunch up in the clouds (you are nearly 10,000 ft in the air). Great hike. Going to do it again when I find a friend manly enough to go to the top. If you're in the same boat as me, give me a call (208)-709-0804. I'll hike it with ya.

Hiked to the Coal Creek Meadows today with the family. All of my kids made it up and down without too many problems. The trail is fairly steep. It climbs 1700ft. in 2.5 miles. The only other problem we had was the bugs. If you do this hike, make sure you have bug spray.

I really wish we had been able to get to the top of the pass, but today was not the day.

I hiked this trail just a couple of weeks ago. It is short, just over a mile to the top, but very steep. Trekking poles are very helpful. It begins at the top of the Teton Pass so you are at a higher elevation when you begin. This is a great hike for training for high elevation mountain hiking. The view to the north from the top is unique in that the Tetons are superimposed on each other. You can pick out the South, Middle and the Grand, if you know those peaks, in the distance from the summit. There were beautiful wildflowers, beautiful views, and there are some interesting huge snorkel like things for avalanche control in Glory Bowl close to the top. I will do it again. It also leads to the Teton Crest Trail which I look forward to exploring another time.
