Very challenging to follow this trail in the snow! We went in mid may. There is a point just after the big turn in the trail to the west that opens up into a large clearing. There was no great way to know where to enter the tree line on the other side. That being said, if you had more time you could probably do a little exploring and find it. We just headed back at that point. Good luck!

If you want a nice mellow hike with awesome views of the valley, hike this to the high point. Less than 4 miles round trip, easy uphill the way there and great views nearly the whole time. Good for dogs, good for kids. Not crowded (a few mountain bikers).

Great trail to a subalpine lake. This time of year prob wasn’t optimal as the water level was getting pretty low and all the wildflowers were dead- hike in July or August for best scenery, or wait a couple more weeks till the Aspens change. Great views of the valley and distant Tetons at the top before you head to the water. This is a moderately easy trail- easy grade but still continuous uphill for 2 miles. Good for dogs. Watch for other people being complete asshats and not controlling their dogs- our dogs were attacked by 2 separate dogs, no one leashes their dogs or controls them here.

Perfect balance of incline and casual hiking. The lake was well worth the effort.

Note that this app locates the trail head fine, but that none of the available trails leaving from the trail head overlap with the highlighted map on the app. We took the Ski lake trail and after a half mile or so the blue dot showing our location finally was centered on the highlighted trail on the app. Once past that minor difficulty, the hike was just beautiful. It was challenging and the surrounding scenery was spectacular.

Great hike for dogs in this area with Ski Lake as a reward for them to swim. A moderate hike for this mom carrying a toddler! Mainly uphill with elevation change. The sign says its 6 miles.

Quick and easy! Nice hike, great for pets- my dog loved swimming in the lake. Not the most scenic hike, but good fun nonetheless.

Nice trail with some scenic views. Was fun off-roading with the family. Just to clarify this trail does not go all the way through for OHVs as it switches to a foot path/horse trail about 80% of the way through.

This is a free ride mountain bike trail. No one should hike this trail.

Nice trail, easy enough for my seven year old to do it. You are rewarded at the end of it with the view of clear water of the lake.

Our family of 6 ( 2 toddlers, parents, grandparents) had a fun hike. The climb was reasonable considering we had the toddlers on our backs . It was beautiful , shady, and just right . The best was our lunch break at Ski Lake . I highly recommend this hike for all ages.

walked 4 miles in on the Arrow Trail. 4 miles straight back out. 8 miles and a total ascent if around 1400 feet with a lot of up and down but not steep climbs. There are plenty of opportunities for various loops and offshoots as there is a large trail network in the whole Teton Pass Area. the trail is extremely smooth because it is primarily a mountain bike path. Beautiful wooded walk with lots of open Meadows and views across to other ridges and distant mountains, but not the Grand Teton. very good hike, especially if you are just getting acclimated or want to avoid rough terrain.

Great hike to beautiful Ski Lake. (I would agree with kid friendly once kids are 5+ yrs and can easily walk 2x2 miles, or are light enough to be carried for 90-120 mins some moderate up and down’s)

Loved this trail. It was beautiful and worth the hike. On the challenging side (at least while carrying a toddler in the pack). Lots of bugs, being bug spray! Great hike for teenagers too.

Beautiful trail with constant conifer scents, wildflowers and good amount of shade. Only downside were the mosquitos, flies and horse flies. Totally doable for families.

nice length for dogs and modest incline makes for some exercise. pretty views and alpine meadows. trail head is across Highway from parking lot. all the dogs we encountered were friendly and owners were respectful. zero dog poop on trail. well maintained. quite a lot of mosquitos. 2 hours or less to hike round trip at a moderate pace with short breaks for water and insect repellent application.

Fine hike with wildflowers, a pika and mountain goat way up high. We had the lake to ourselves at first. Bugs were pretty bad and prevented us from pausing for any length to identify flowers and search for animals. Took us 3 hours. A moderate level for flatlanders like us but would think easy for locals.

Not a fan. The best views are attained within the 2 mile mark and the next 4-5 miles are spent going downhill mostly through alpine meadows. The wild flowers in the meadows WERE beautiful although 2 hours of that can get a bit tired. The forested part near the bottom was nice but there is no real destination point- you reach the end of the trail and turn around and do the same thing uphill. So glad we had read @ Pat and Tamara's review and took the Old Pass road back to trailhead instead. However we cut off onto the OPR connector which took us off the Old Pass Road pavement. This would be an awesome downhill mountain bike trail though, and we did see way more bikers than hikers. Gave it 3 stars because there are so many other better 5-6 hour hikes in the area .
