Started this trail and went to Taggart lake, Bradley lake, and then up towards the amphitheater junction. Beautiful views of the lakes. Started about 9 am and was able to see reflections of the lake and not too busy. Completed 8 miles in about 3.5 hours

Went about 3 years ago on a school field trip, and it was amazing! Beautiful scenery, lots of wildlife, light traffic, plenty of shade in the woods, but it's honestly hotter In the woods. on the open trail it's nice and breezy and easy to keep cool, only hiked halfway, as school policy only allowed so long of physical activity for prevention of injury but all in all a great hike! stopped in the middle for lunch, climbed up the mountain a bit to get some amazing views then turned arou d and hiked back down! definately intend on finishing the hike someday!

Absolutely wonderful experience. Quite the challenge in certain areas, but to each challenge, the reward is tenfold.

We hiked a portion of this trail today. Very pretty, not too strenuous, meadows and forest and several streams - secluded, very few other hikers. We didn't encounter any bear or moose but did see fresh bear scat.

It's a decent hike but Cascade Canyon is much better in my opinion. Definitely bring bear mace and a whistle. On our way back we came across a black bear and cub foraging for berries. My husband started blowing his whistle and the bears quickly scampered away. There is definitely wild life here!! Overall the elevation climb was spread out nicely and we didn't feel it that much.

Honestly, if you are going to do a canyon hike and you only have one big hike you can do, I'd recommend Cascade Canyon. It is a pretty piney trail with cool views and the river is nice but what is worth the experience is the meadows of wildflowers up in the middle for area, and in route to Marion Lake (which were gorgeous bonuses of being up in this terrain)

Windy on top!

Great trail! great views! We did this over 4 days. has some great passes that test you physically. We ended our trip by hiking to the Teton lodge tram. That was the toughest hike of the trip, but great views riding down. if I do it again I would go South to North.

My husband and I did this trail last week. Almost got to the end before we could no longer find the trail due to the snow. Nice trail. Long and not too steep. Great views of the river and multiple waterfalls. We did not see anyone else the whole time.

Breathtaking

From Teton Village you can get this trail from up the Teewinot slope (just turn right towards the Apres Vous lift after passing the Four Seasons and heading up the big hill for a quarter mile). Then follow Valley Trail signs. Took the trail to Phelps Lake and around for a moderate hike. Not a lot of incline, but there were some snow covered trail areas even at the end of May.

Took the tram to the top and back long ago. Great views from up on top. Was definitely cool when we got out and walked around. On the bucket list of places to come back to for some winter skiing. Tower 2 will send you for a swing!! :)

Dogs are NOT allowed on this trail, as described. I recommend the full Teton Crest Trail (40m) starting from the Pass / Phillips Trailhead : https://www.alltrails.com/explore/recording/teton-crest-trail--9

I had the opportunity to do this Trail back in August of 2015 the trail is absolutely beautiful and would recommend it. I live in Pennsylvania and I'll go back just to do it again! bear spray is highly recommended as well as boots that support your ankles.

Great trail with many optional side trails up hill. One of the best for fall foliage.

Great out and back hike from the Granite Canyon parking area. We started early and glad we did. Nice gradual elevation gain and shaded but many open areas. According to Alltrails app we about 12.5 miles. When we arrived back at the trail head it was 88 degrees. Glad the sun was at our backs.

Staying at Signal Mountain Lodge, we decided to go down to Teton Village. Along the way we took the Death Canyon Trail 1 mile up to the Phelps Lake Overlook, quite striking with the Jackson Hole (JH) valley below and the Tetons rising to the right. A nice gradual slope, and you can go as far as you want on the Death Canyon trail. Next we rode the tram up to the top of Rendezvous Mt, some 10,450 feet high. The tram ride was smooth and safe, and the entire JH valley opened up below. It was a balmy 28 degrees with a 40 mph wind at the top, so we quickly ducked into the small shop at the top and warmed up, snapped a few pictures – brrrrr! – and caught the next tram down. You can read the sign at the top about charges they launch during the winter to take care of the avalanches on the slopes, and you can really see some good evidence of the avalanche effects in Cascade Canyon with trees bowled over by snow and rocks. The tram ride is nice, but be prepared for cold and wind, even in late June!

Did this in August 2015 but came out through Cascade Canyon. Simply beautiful. While you need to carry bear mace we had no issues. Hammock camped in several different spots including the Alaskan Basin. Unfortunately, we did this at the same time the two girls were killed climbing the grand Teton. Here is a video tour: https://youtu.be/N_eAJAHtlp0 Enjoy

It was a very nice walk. Very gradual inclines. Most of the hike was shaded in the trees. We started early and saw Deer and Moose.

We did an out and back going in about six miles. Next time we are here we plan to ride the tram to the top of Rendevous and then do the canyon from the top.

We did it other way that states here. We started in Teton village and rejoined the Granite canyon trail, hiked up to Marion lake and then looped back to top of Rendezvous mountain where we took the tram down to Teton village. Was a long day. Definitely not an easy hike that we did but was rewarding. Mileage pounded on...

5 days in the Tetons! Wildflowers are amazing this time of year. Summer mountain snow storm was interesting. Huckleberries were out as well. Great vistas and views. Be prepared for a variety of weather and temperature. Trekking poles are helpful. Parts of the trail are granite rock and its nice to have the poles, also solid footwear. Your feet will ache a little at the end of the day. This was an amazing adventure. 5 stars for sure!
