Many different trails to choose from. Maps were available at the trail head and that was helpful. I hiked tent canyon trail and then Ogden creek trail. Signs were easy to find and follow, no issues there. Lots of different beautiful terrain. Very secluded and never ran into anyone. Spotty cell service.

The trail is open to horses and so is quite rough and has lots of divots. However, there is something about the Wyoming Black Hills that is so different from the Dakota side. You can hike all day and not see another person. Its quiet and peaceful and almost guaranteed to be secluded.

Just a little past Rueter campground on the left is the parking lot and trail head. Well marked trail, many other trails in the area. By my own mistake, I did make one wrong turn onto a connecting trail. Ended up just turning around and going back the way I came. Not a loop trail. Lots of trails and dirt roads, so even though the actual trails are marked well I still got confused. Beautiful area though...didn’t run into anyone. Late September. Saw a few deer and a few cows.

Well marked trail, nice scenery. Good 2 hour hike at a leisurely place, even for an overweight, out of shape novice like me.

Nice trail that is well marked!

After hiking Mt Rushmore and Devils Tower, both of which don't allow pets, this is a great hike for those with pets. My lab/shepherd mix enjoyed the exercise. Views are OK, you are in a forest, but there are enough breaks in the trees to see the valleys below. Did not run into anyone else on the trail which made it very peaceful.

Easy and is never busy. Great day hike!

This trail was well worth it, had to carry water in starting from Sundance trailhead. Tent canyon was very nice and the trail was maintained nicely.

The group I was with took a risk by going in March, and we woke up in straight line winds and snow drifts. Was a good adrenaline experience, wish we had time to hike more.

We had a beautiful morning on this trail. Good for adults, teenagers, clear down to 5 years. Very quiet and serine. There are Black Bear in the area, we just missed one on our hike. Carry bear spray. Early morning is the best time for wildlife. Cook Lake has very nice camp sites below the trail.
