Nice short easy hike toward hermitage point but turned off to herron pond and swan lake. Saw several swans in swan lake. Beautiful view of the mountains initially

Nice trail, take trail "S". Start following the fence for awhile into the forest. Ankle deep snow with new small bear tracks that followed along for a kilometer. There are two trails that start the same way and this branches off.

After doing shorter hikes in Yellowstone we decided to push ourselves to do something longer than 2 miles. So glad we did. Beautiful views of the lake and the mountains.

Really enjoyed this short relatively flat hike after the previous days 18miler RT to Static Divide. great views and nice folk on the trail. cant fo wrong with this one at all

perfect location nice hot water

Very confusing if you opt for the right hand fork labeled "observation " (?) or lookout. We didn't find the main trail after that until wandering around in mucky marsh around Swan Lake, and found a marker by accident. Otherwise, very flat and easy, as well as boring, trail.

An absolutely beautiful hike entered around String Lake. Very minor elevation gain after the lake as you head into the mountainside. Go counterclockwise on this trail. Takes a few hours but the views are stunning. Great "in between" hike.

Easy loop with a beautiful forest setting and great views of Lake Jackson and the Tetons. Hike out at sunset for great beach mountain pictures as the sun sets behind!

This is the way to go! But do yourself a favor and come down in a different canyon. Also, if you have the legs, add the little avalanche divide! It's nice. Did this up to granit canyon in a day - doable but lot of walking. And you need to have transport back at the end (I ended up hitchhiking from granite to jenny).
Anyway, the teton crest is THE thing to walk over there. If you have permit for overnigth, even better!

Cute little hike. I'd rather do this than the whole Jenny lake.

First, let me tell you that there is no trail once you get to the loop....you have to figure your way to the top, which isn't bad....just took us a bit longer because we kept looking for a trail. we ended up going down the same way we went up because of the uncertainty. definitely a great hike and not that difficult, but it does get steep.

Like someone else, this was the hike I did the day after Delta Lake as a more restful hike. It was also the day before a more strenuous hike so the perfect in between hike.

I went counter clockwise (im not sure how it is shown here) and am really glad I did. All of the little tiny paths off the main trail to look at the lake are worth it. I got there at 8 am and am so glad I did. The water was so calm and clear. I’ve never seen mountains reflecting in the water like this. It was breathtaking.

Definitely an easy hike and so worth doing. Just beautiful.

Longish, not too exciting walk through forests and lake views, keep on the wide path. End was beautiful with very old sagebrush, rocky and sandy point with eagle in old tree looking out to water.

Yay

My husband and some friends went out early to hike this trail. We hoped to see wildlife but did not. However, the trail was still great! Nice scenes and pretty forest areas to hike through. Also a feeling of accomplishment to make it to the Teton sign and see Jackson lake. I’d consider this trail moderate and not hard however there are some ups and downs in elevation and we did cross one creek where there was no footbridge. The trail goes on from here to a few other points in the Tetons which I would love to do someday.

I hiked around the Grand View hill, then the entire way around Two Ocean lake before hiking up to the Grand View. At 11 miles, ended up more of a workout than I expected. Only negative is how narrow the trail is. Use plenty of bug spray.

This trail was great with our kids! Saw a mamma moose and her two babies. We went to Polecat Hot Springs and the Huckleberry. Great with kids over 6. I say this about the age because you do have to cross the fast flowing creek to get to either of them. We also saw otter at the bridge at the asphalt and elk not far from there.

LOVED this trail. Gorgeous views and easy enough for our four year old to do the whole loop. Great family hike.

I would rate this as easy. The meadows are pretty lush with berries and flowers. Highly recommend going slow and observing flowers and fruits growing around the trail with several bees and butterflies flapping . This was our "recovery" hike after delta lake. In the end we just sat by the lake and swam a bit. A lot better than being at the beach. Loved it.

Definitely not a moderate trail. Strenuous due to the extreme climbs in elevation but worth every minute. Absolutely beautiful. There is also an old fire look out at the very top of the mountain to sleep.

Beautiful hike. This trail is not strenuous, but there is a rise in elevation that might be hard for some folks. We had a lovely trek, stopping often to take pictures and to catch our breath.

Can get lost around dusk if you don’t track main trail. Alltrails was super accurate even without downloaded map.

Not a really good trail at this time. Too many horse flies and mosquitoes flying around the hikers.

Trail was peaceful with beautiful views of Grand Teton. A thundershower interrupted us briefly but provided a unique view of the mountains and lake. Although we did not see bears, there was evidence of bear activity a points along the whole trail. The outer trail was left to us with some well deserved private time for hiking honeymooners.

Beautiful trail, my kids 13, 10, and 8 loved this hike. They enjoyed jumping into String lake for a cool off after the hike. The trail does get busy during peak season, so I do recommend going early for a parking spot.

started around noon but had a lot of shade. easy walk and great lunch spot next to Heron Pond (big log with amazing view) - would have done the full hermitage loop but had limited time. osprey on swan lake. active bear warning but never saw or heard any...

did this with Jenny Lake last week... start early.. just missed seeing a grizzly and moose (seen by people hiking towards us) but saw lots of other wildlife.. would spend a day playing on this lake if had more time in area!

Easy and flat. Unfortunately had to cut it short about two miles from the point because of beer sighting.
