My husband and some friends went out early to hike this trail. We hoped to see wildlife but did not. However, the trail was still great! Nice scenes and pretty forest areas to hike through. Also a feeling of accomplishment to make it to the Teton sign and see Jackson lake. I’d consider this trail moderate and not hard however there are some ups and downs in elevation and we did cross one creek where there was no footbridge. The trail goes on from here to a few other points in the Tetons which I would love to do someday.

I hiked around the Grand View hill, then the entire way around Two Ocean lake before hiking up to the Grand View. At 11 miles, ended up more of a workout than I expected. Only negative is how narrow the trail is. Use plenty of bug spray.

This trail was great with our kids! Saw a mamma moose and her two babies. We went to Polecat Hot Springs and the Huckleberry. Great with kids over 6. I say this about the age because you do have to cross the fast flowing creek to get to either of them. We also saw otter at the bridge at the asphalt and elk not far from there.

LOVED this trail. Gorgeous views and easy enough for our four year old to do the whole loop. Great family hike.

We went at 8 am and were the only ones there to start. Maybe 10 cars by the time we finished. Very beautiful! I would say easy for sure. The trail was tight due to overgrown foliage but not rocky We saw a huge bull moose about 2 miles in if you walked counter clockwise.

I would rate this as easy. The meadows are pretty lush with berries and flowers. Highly recommend going slow and observing flowers and fruits growing around the trail with several bees and butterflies flapping . This was our "recovery" hike after delta lake. In the end we just sat by the lake and swam a bit. A lot better than being at the beach. Loved it.

Definitely not a moderate trail. Strenuous due to the extreme climbs in elevation but worth every minute. Absolutely beautiful. There is also an old fire look out at the very top of the mountain to sleep.

Beautiful hike. This trail is not strenuous, but there is a rise in elevation that might be hard for some folks. We had a lovely trek, stopping often to take pictures and to catch our breath.

Can get lost around dusk if you don’t track main trail. Alltrails was super accurate even without downloaded map.

Not a really good trail at this time. Too many horse flies and mosquitoes flying around the hikers.

Trail was peaceful with beautiful views of Grand Teton. A thundershower interrupted us briefly but provided a unique view of the mountains and lake. Although we did not see bears, there was evidence of bear activity a points along the whole trail. The outer trail was left to us with some well deserved private time for hiking honeymooners.

Beautiful trail, my kids 13, 10, and 8 loved this hike. They enjoyed jumping into String lake for a cool off after the hike. The trail does get busy during peak season, so I do recommend going early for a parking spot.

started around noon but had a lot of shade. easy walk and great lunch spot next to Heron Pond (big log with amazing view) - would have done the full hermitage loop but had limited time. osprey on swan lake. active bear warning but never saw or heard any...

did this with Jenny Lake last week... start early.. just missed seeing a grizzly and moose (seen by people hiking towards us) but saw lots of other wildlife.. would spend a day playing on this lake if had more time in area!

Easy and flat. Unfortunately had to cut it short about two miles from the point because of beer sighting.

This is a beautiful trail with great views along the way of the mountains, meadows covered in wildflowers, and the lake views most of the way. It’s not full of solitude unless you go early, but we still had some quiet sections. We also went up the Paintbrush Divide trail up to the lower camping zone and passed some lovely rapids enroute. It gets you a bit more elevation so if you want to keep it easier just stay on the String Lake loop. A really nice day hike!

It was a fantastic trail with panoramic views at Grand Point.

I believe the difficulty rating of hard may be a mistake, as this path is completely flat. It begins at the Colter Bay Marina and follows Jackson lake and then Swan Lake. It’s buggy and marshy and beautiful but not challenging at all- fine for kids. There are several branches and unmarked forks so bring a map or this app for reference!

Quite an easy walk with a great view of the mountains, stream, lake and forest. Has a good mix of shade and open areas, has mosquitoes and can be crowded.

A nice secluded trail with a lovely view - would definitely do again. Was less crowded than many other hikes we did in the Tetons

nice hike....although after getting to the top you don't need to continue on, unless you are like me and love climbing up n down mountains

Not a lot to the hike beyond the viewpoint of any interest

Nice and easy walk with beautiful views

Beautiful trail and easy but it was long. We went right to start the loop portion of the trail. After we reached hermitage point we walked about a mile/mile in a half and saw a bear and two cubs about 30 yards off the trail. We had to turn around due to the bear being too close to the trail. Had to back track which added on some miles but over all the trail was worth it. Breathtaking views. One tip: wear bug spray

6/17/19. Easy walk starts off with nice views of Jackson Lake. Lots of wildflowers and wildlife. Be prepared for mesquites in the interior portions where the breeze dies down. We detoured from the AllTrails map to Swan Lake. It was beautiful. Covered in water lilies with yellow flowers just beginning to bloom. We also saw swan and other waterfowl. To this point and back would make a good family hike. Continue on for the adventure.

Excellent trail with incredible views! Not strenuous and well worth it. We were treated this afternoon to a bear killing a baby deer or elk right on the trail. It was amazing to witness in person, a little scary, but definitely incredible to witness.

saw 2 grizzly bear the paint brush canyon intersection.

Easy paved walk to see wildlife in Willow Flats below. There is an unpaved trail that spurs off at the top of the hill, but I did not have time to explore it. I went early in the morning and saw moose, elk, and golden eagles. Though I did not see any, bears are supposed to frequent the area as well. The plagues dotting the trail are very informative.
