A superb trail with everything, amazing vistas, wildlife including a mother grisly and 2 cubs within 30 feet- quite uninterested in us, deer, and lots of ground animals. Great elevation changes, some open areas, and generally very easy footing. Superb lake side trails.

Fantastic view of Phelps lake and the mountains! A mama bear and her two cubs decided to join us on the trail. Bear spray is a MUST. We Parked at the nature preserve then once we got to the lake we hiked clockwise. This put most of the difficult part of the trail at the beginning, so by the end when our kiddos were tired, we were rolling easy. We also encountered a moose that was grazing on the trail. It took us a bit to get him to move, but eventually he decided to move on so we could get by. The trail ended up being 8 miles. There were a lot of wet areas around the back of the lake from all the snow melt but nothing too deep.

Didn’t get all the way to the gals because the snow pack got steep and slippery. Wish I’d brought my yak tracks! Did see two moose, a marmot, a bald eagle, and squirrels and chipmunks though. Good views of jenny lake too.

I did this hike last summer for our family reunion. I had all my little ones with me and they had a hard time lucky I had people there to help my kids up the trail. the falls are so beautiful. great views. definitely going back when the kids are a little older.

I did an abbreviation of this hike - totaled about 5 miles. We went out to the jumping-rock, which was great.

Did this in mid-July and the lake was freezing (not surprising since it’s fed by glacial runoff).

Catching up on some reviews, so recognize that this hike was done mid-October. Nice, quite trail with a fair amount of snow. We were warned about bear sightings in the area earlier that morning, but we didn't see any. However, after returning to our car and driving down the road a bit, we did come across a momma bear and two cubs!

Catching up on some reviews, so recognize that I was here in mid-October. Visited for a weekend to escape busy college life, and this was our first hike in the park. Very few people, which was a big plus. Falls were beautiful and already party freezing. On our way back, we went the rest of the way around the lake, not realizing how much longer it would take. Still enjoyable and recommend the hike to any visitor.

Beautiful peaceful trail located within the Rockefeller Preserve. I’ve done this trail 3-4x. One note able time was when we turned a corner and a rather large black bear was sitting on the trail eating berries. Definitely recommend...

We did this on our way to Cascade Canyon and I highly recommend going in the spring, when the falls are really going!

Did with my two daughters (6, 3) and my wife, we really enjoyed this trail. Great views pretty much most of the way. Some places along the way to stop and eat/ enjoy the views. Falls were beautiful and we continued up to lower inspiration point (the higher one was closed). On the way back we sat by moose ponds for a bit and enjoyed the stillness. Great time!

Great varying landscapes with beautiful vistas. A good starter or in-between hike. It was quiet and secluded throughout almost the entire hike.

Phenomenal just barely moderate hike. We started at the LSR preserve, not the Death Canyon trailhead, and did the whole loop. We began around 8:45am and there was only one other car in the lot. When we finished around 1:00pm it was nearly full, though. It was a quiet, secluded hike up until the last few miles when we were on our way back down. Definitely recommend following the loop counter-clockwise for optimal views.

Beautiful views through the whole hike. We hiked all the way to the top and my polar says it was a total of 6.5 miles from parking lot and back. Took my mom who doesn't hike much and she made it the entire way. Lots of places to stop and take breaks. Definitely a must do!

Loved this hike! Thought it was really easy for a high peak...like everyone else has said, the first 3 miles are flat with a tiny gradual descent with no rocks. There are a couple of look out spots along the way. The last mile is killer and seems never ending, but it's worth it!

We took the short hike of just to the lake and back .. A nice hike with plenty to see .

Petite rando offrant de superbes vues sur le massif des Teton

We took the shuttle to shorten this trail with others at the end of August. We ran into a few people who had hiked the full way to the falls and they said it was very tough and would be taking the shuttle back. Anyway the views here were beautiful. The trail is VERY heavily trafficked. This is not the trail to go on if you want to be away from people. However it is heavily trafficked for a reason. There are amazing views of the mountains and of the falls.

Steep incline hike but worth the views once you get to the lake. Views along the way are beautiful as well.

Great view of the Moose today at the pond.

Perfect hike!

Great hike with lake views. Saw deer and told there were bears there too.

Nice trail around a beautiful lake. Moderate is a fair assessment parking is limited and they don't allow overflow parking so get there early.

Fun hike. We took the boat and hiked back. Also included a hike to Inspiration Point. Beautiful scenery.

This is a wonderful hike, with the elevation change you need to catch sweeping views of Teton Valley, Taggart, and Bradley lakes. As you climb higher the switch backs are pretty tiring, but the effort is worth it as you enter Garnet Canyon and the peaks rise around you. Climbing over the boulder field is fun, but if you're not looking to extend your trek, picnic at the little creek and enjoy the view! It took me, my mom, and sister about 6 hours with a lengthy lunch break, and we got an amazing, if small, glimpse into what the Tetons have to offer.

Multiple hikes on Jenny Lake - Hidden Falls, Lower Falls, Inspiration Point, and trail around part of lake. Purchase a round trip or one-way boat crossing to get to the far side of the lake. Begin with Hidden Falls trails, then continue to Lower Falls or Inspiration Point (the trails have common points). Return to the boat dock to cross back across the Lake. Up for more walking, continue the lake trail around the lake, which will end where you first caught the boat to cross the lake.
