Didn’t hike the whole way. Just enjoyed walking to the little bridges that gave pretty views of creeks and mountains and you don’t have to walk far from the parking lot to get to them. It was a nice pit stop in between driving through snowy range scenic drive road.

Beautiful drive. Great introduction to The Snowy Range. Many hiking trails and camping areas along the way. Was also able to view some wildlife-horses, antelope, buffalo, etc.

Good mix of forests and meadows.

Beautiful area and a very pleasant drive with very little to no traffic whatsoever

Nice peaceful trail with lots of wildlife - I even saw a couple pine martens chasing each other. No mosquitos or flies out yet on May 13, but I did pick off one tick. Lots of good campsites, especially after reaching the wilderness area ~4 miles in.

This time around Canoed from Saratoga down to Sanger Access three, Along the way my partner and I passed the home of some lady who thinks she's a writer and has spent allot of money making her "REAL" Wyoming life less like real Wyoming and more like a movie set. Aside from that the river was beautiful, saw cliff swallows, crawdads and even an Antelope. This time around we even left wallets, phones, etc. in the car. Nicely we didn't go in this time and the trip was uneventful, situating cars was more of an adventure, amazing where a Mercury Capri can go.

Haven't been to the trail yet, however as of this writing I have been on the river. The course we took was from Bennet Peak Rec area and exited at Treasure Island. All in all it was a lazy day the river is nice and wide with a mild current. I would include some photos, the river ate my camera. Apparently it was hungry for electronic gizmos, and canoes and backpacks and drybags. The moral of the story being that just because it looks calm doesn't mean it is. This part of the river is floatable in late May and early June.

Wyoming solitude in the backyard of the Snowy Mountains. This is a good get away from everyone, I saw no one. Beaver ponds were full of brookies. Nice niews of the Platte River Valley and the Sierra Madres.

The elevation is up there, so , be prepared.

Overnight trip to fly fish the Encampment. This was beautiful, secluded and the fishing was great. Was introduced to the Encampment by my Grandfather Robert as a young child. I started in Hogg Park and walked downhill toward town.

I took this as a side trip from Kansas City to Salt Lake, which I have made many times. Looking for a diversion, I took this route and enjoyed the views. It was apparent their are some trails and camping areas to explore in the future. Nice side trip off I-80, doesn't cost you much time, well worth it.
