I thought is was a great trail to go snowshoeing for the first time. pretty easy and nice view of lake and mountains. however there wasn't really a trail so we just followed other people's tracks. the tracks eventually turned around at swan lake instead of continue the loop so we didnt get the whole experience. but also saw plenty of wolf tracks and some wolves in the raod to the trailhead so be wary.

Awesome dog-friendly trail. Nice easy up and down loop with much to see. Trail is snowshoe-friendly and kid-friendly too. I have a 5, 6, and 8 year old and they did great. The nice thing is that there are a lot of options to go off this trail and follow other trails too. We would and probably will do it again!

It was amazing you hike up the mountain to a giant lake that had jaw dropping scenery, and the water felt great.

The water was so warm and it felt so good the place is awsome.

awsome place to go the view was amazing and it was all around awsome.

Took this trail 30 years ago. Beautiful trail but in July you get pretty hot. I am 70 now and could not do it at this point in life. But I encourage you to try it if you are physically fit.

The views! Oh my god the views! Scenic the entire time. We parked at Moose and rode into the park to Jenny Lake and back. Into Jenny lake is slight incline with a big hill just past the park entrance. We were flying on the way back!

Beautiful hike!!! We took the boat across Jenny Lake to cut off some miles. We only hiked to the forks as this was our last of many hikes for the week. Done is late August. Highly recommend.

This is a great hike!!! We hiked this is early September. It’s an up hill climb all the way. Don’t be fooled by some descriptions that say “a few switchbacks”, we counted 19. Lots of people on the trail and at the lakes. It’s beautiful up there!!! Highly recommend!!!

One of the most spectacular backpacking adventures in the United States. Scenery is unsurpassed! Go the extra 10 miles to Lake Solitude and up to the Paintbrush Pass at 10,200ft.... drop down Paintbrush Canyon to camp at Holly Lake, spend the final night and finish up next afternoon at Lehigh Lake for a grand total of 35miles.

nice walk
dogs enjoyed it, but dry trail.

great look at many habitats with many bird species. highly recommended for anyone looking for a day hike and wanting to see some Backcountry.

Beautiful but very crowded in June.

Great hike in the snow. We were on snowshoes which made it easy to veer off trail and explore. Other people were on XC skies, a few back country skiers and even a couple hiking in just boots. Met lots of happy dogs so it’s beat to be a k9 lover. You could actually make this a loop trail if you want to ford the river and hit the Teton Rd. The road heads west right back to the trailhead/parking lot.

nice easy hike

Really enjoyed this short relatively flat hike after the previous days 18miler RT to Static Divide. great views and nice folk on the trail. cant fo wrong with this one at all

Did this hike with group of 5 July of 2018. Good hike and challenging first couple miles because it’s all uphill. Trail says it’s 7.6 miles to the lake but my phone tracked more around 10 miles. Unsure whether it was accurate but it definitely felt longer than 7 miles. It’s super easy to miss the OE1 campground so right when you hit the lake keep your eyes open. You will need a back country pass to stay overnight so go to the visitor centers ranger station. Will cost you like 3 dollars to camp.

Beautiful rock formations. Lots of snow on the ground some it deep. Had chickadee, ravens, and hairy woodpecker. Couldn’t drive to the trailhead cause the road had too much snow, walked to trailhead

Surprisingly fantastic trails with good snow, and the wonderful snow-covered trees kept me out of the wind. The trails were easy to follow, with many random trails leading off all over the place to go explore. I could spend the rest of the winter hiking these trails and not take the same route twice. I can’t wait to go back.

Very peaceful and relaxing trail to hike. I would recommend snow shoes if hiking at this time of the year because the snow is very highly piled up. My boyfriend fell at one point through the snow and it almost submerged his entire leg. :P
If you enjoy lots of snow and the forest then this will be a fun hike during this time of year ^__^

Very beautiful lake on top. Saw small bear early in AM when we got to the lake. Early AM the wildlife is very abundant.
