First time hiking this trail and it did not disappoint. The first leg is a nice pace and we saw a bear not too far off the trail which was really cool to watch. Cooled off in the water up top and along the way which was very refreshing. Certainly recommend this trail

This was a great hike for my wife and infant who i carried. It is a very easy hike with amazing views. No real elevation change and a clear trail. We hiked on Thursday August 9th and was easily able to park in the lot at the trail head at 9am. When we left at 1pm and the lot was insanely busy with many people fighting over our spot as we left. The part of the lake near the parking lot was full of people canoeing and on paddle boards, looked like a regular party cove.
The views are amazing and really peak around the camp sites. We went the full 7miles round trip and felt like we wasted the last few miles.

This was my first time to Grand Teton and I wasn't sure which trail to hike. I was originally looking for a moderate to hard trail but ended up on the Jenny Lake Trail...and LOVED it. You get to see some amazing scenery and the trail is fun at all times.

When I went there it's raining and too much fog. I think it will be better in a sunny day. Besides, I didn't see the fish cone. I think it is related to the water level in the lake.

I enjoyed the Leigh Lake hike. It was very easy with little elevation change, but lots of stunning views. There was also lots of wildlife along the trail. I almost walked into a black bear eating huckleberries on the side of the trail.

The trail is fairly popular and heavily hiked during the hours of 10am-6pm. The farther you hike the less people there are.

Our favorite Yellowstone hike. Meadow, lake, beach, and forest. Kids traversed down to the beach and enjoyed time by the lake. Saw a yellow belly marmot and a coyote on the hike. The bridge is still out but you can go 20 feet down the creek and early cross to complete the loop.

LOVED this trail. Gorgeous views and easy enough for our four year old to do the whole loop. Great family hike.

I would rate this as easy. The meadows are pretty lush with berries and flowers. Highly recommend going slow and observing flowers and fruits growing around the trail with several bees and butterflies flapping . This was our "recovery" hike after delta lake. In the end we just sat by the lake and swam a bit. A lot better than being at the beach. Loved it.

Beautiful hike. This trail is not strenuous, but there is a rise in elevation that might be hard for some folks. We had a lovely trek, stopping often to take pictures and to catch our breath.

A pleasant, easy hike along a lakeshore, through a wooded area, and a meadow. Lovely wildflowers along the way, and excellent views of the lake.

This loop is beautiful! Sections of the trail provide shade but also amazing views of the lake and peaks. I started at the visitor center and went right (when facing the lake). I used this to get a 5 mile trail run in before meeting friends at the Cascade Canyon Trail close to the boat dock. The section of this trail was fairly easy with only small elevation changes. I highly recommend heading up the Cascade Canyon Trail as the views are great and we saw some wildlife.

If you do one trail in Yellowstone, this should be it. It's easy enough for children and rewarding enough for adults. The bridge was out at the end, but there was a clear way to get around it and up the hill to the part of the trail that looped back to the rest.

Fantastic trail to get in some miles without overdoing it. Scenic views all around.

As an even more scenic alternative I would recommend starting at the Jenny Lake visitor’s center and heading north (facing the lake, go right). About 4 miles in on the west side of the lake take the cascade canyon trail. 6 mile out & back with great views and a lot of wildlife (saw black bears and a big bull moose). You can opt to take the boat back across the lake instead of running the rest of the way around if you aren’t looking for a ~20 miler.

Nice little walk close to the lake and around the geyers. Very crowded, though (I was there when it rained heavily, and there were still so many people).

The first part of trail is moderate and second part is easy. The views throughout are as good as it gets. Encountered a brown bear on the trail halfway around eating berries and ignored us. Best hike!

Stunning wildflowers and water features! It takes a while to get to the really fun part, but it’s so worth it.

This is an easy 8 mile loop hike. Please be aware that the trail to Hidden Fall and Inspiration Point are closed due to Rock Fall concerns. They are currently evaluating the potential danger. No timing for reopening.

This hike was amazing! It was not hard, and it was fun, with a breathtaking view the entire time!

Great trail!

Beautiful trail, my kids 13, 10, and 8 loved this hike. They enjoyed jumping into String lake for a cool off after the hike. The trail does get busy during peak season, so I do recommend going early for a parking spot.

A great family hike with incredible views! Don’t let the mileage deter you - it’s an easy walk and very rewarding.

did this with string lake for a great morning hike last week - start early. part of trail was closed due to rockfall so did not see hidden falls but scenary made up for it! was a zoo by the time we left at 1pm but had time for a quick dip of the feet in the lake (great after 18km) before getting out of the chaos! long but very easy - nothing technical and no major climbs so just a really nice morning hike.

did this with Jenny Lake last week... start early.. just missed seeing a grizzly and moose (seen by people hiking towards us) but saw lots of other wildlife.. would spend a day playing on this lake if had more time in area!

Far too crowded when I visited and slightly worn. The boardwalk needs renovations and there were unattended children running amuck. It's ok for strolling but tourists have torn the place up.

Super family friendly and easy walk around these gorgeous, vibrant hot springs. Great view of Yellowstone Lake as well, definitely worth a stop.

This was a moderate hike with great views of he Grand Tetons. Great for a family or couple hiking. Multiple trail runners on this hike. Start early to avoid the heat.

Only go to do about 4 miles of the trail since the rest was closed off. Very easy with some good views of the mountains and lake.
