Loved this short walk! Beautiful mix of scenery and many different path options! Not many bugs early afternoon but I imagine they'll be much worse in a few weeks.

This is a quiet park that we visit often as it is very close to home. Not too crowded. Lots of resident wildlife. Deer, Great Horned Owl, Black Squirrels, etc. Also beautiful wildflowers.

The paved trail was decent beside the pedestrian bridge under water, the single track trails were muddy and flooded. Also it was drizzling most of the time

Most of the trail from Racine - north was closed due to erosion but still a great bike trail along the lake.

Nice nature walk, beautiful tall pines, easy pathway to follow, we went after the rain so it was a little muddy, still had a lovely time exploring while the sun was setting,

Great loop trail, feel safe walking there even alone, beautiful views and great paved trail, love to complete a double loop, singing frogs and friendly people

Beautiful wooded trails along the root river, great place to hike, kayak and adventure. Kid friendly and enchanting,

The supposed trailhead is between two homes in a cul-de-sac as if it is part of their yards. you have to park in front of the houses deep within a neighborhood. The owners of homes nearby were staring us down looking uncomfortable with strangers being in their tea so we didn't get out and do the trial. It felt like private property. no sidewalks or parking lane even so it really feels like intruding on these homes.

Great fun place to come and walk. You might see a Turkeys and ducks in the trail. Enjoy!

wide, paved path. Can be crowded on nice days. Dogs, bikes, strollers, runners. A handful of parking spots available.

It was a good trail, but not ideal for a winter hike. Many parts of the trail were icy or blocked off. It was hard at times to determine where the trail was. Overall it was good, I appreciated the views of the lake and still close enough to downtown

Parking was confusing, trail was nothing special. All of the hazards on the path where marked with spray paint that made it pretty intrusive. Did see a bunch of nice mushrooms though

A great little hike. Plenty to see. Spent a couple of hours here just enjoying it all, will definitely come back

Moderate traffic, paved path along Lake Michigan. Beautiful views. Option to extend ride on bike lanes along city streets. Traffic was light this Sunday morning.

Beautiful place to walk! Completely paved, full sun, lined with wildflowers. 2.14 mi loop according to my Garmin watch. Porta-potty located at southern end of loop. Benches and trash cans throughout. Looking forward to bringing my kids next time.

I been at this place and it's great.

I love this trail, the lake is beautiful, Racine has done a lot since the 80’s - 00’s to clean it up, it’s policed, and everyone uses it for working out and recreation, great place.

Went for a combo hike and trail run. The trail is a combination walking and horse trail and it's tough at times to figure out which is which even with plenty of signage. The trail is mostly grass and dirt and was wet and very muddy in spots. I enjoyed trail running through the twists and turns. Mostlty flat.

Mostly flat and well maintained trail with many small off shoots to explore. Some sections have woodchips and the pathways are fairly wide. A nice boardwalk over a swampy area and some of the trail goes along a pond and the river. Did an easy, fun three miles.

Very easy trail, this was our first hike so it was perfect. Would do this again.
