Not much of a hike. Pretty to look around. Cool and damp.

Nice trail, especially for bikers. The directions to the trail head are wrong however. Just google riverside park in Menomonie and you’ll see the registration building and everything. Also, just an FYI bikers are required to buy a pass for the trail (16 and older). Hikers and dog walkers are free.

Neat geographical feature but not really a “hike”.

Beautiful spot but no real hiking.

Awesome leg workout and beautiful scenery.

Beautiful hike on packed gravel trail along a Red Cedar River. About a mile in from the trail head is a large rock wall with water dripping down, nicknamed by locals “The Wall of Tears”

Not much to hike at the Devils Punch Bowl, but there was a waterfall from snow melt when we were there in the spring. Hike the nearby Red Cedar Trail for miles of hiking.

went here a couple of weeks ago, love it ! Easy and fun

One of best hiking, biking, walking trails in area.

Nice short exploration. Beautiful but not much for a hike.

Beautiful river valley, fast beautiful river, peaceful green trees and blooming flowers. Quiet place to run or walk. Cliffs too! The trail goes on for miles and miles which is nice, and it's so nice I could come back every day.

The address listed here is way wrong and when you finally do find the real Devils punch bowl, there are no trails to hike. The spot is pretty, but don't expect to hike, especially 7 miles.

Really nice trail. We biked it on cyclocross bikes with wide tires (38c) and found that to be perfect. Mountain bikes would be good, road bikes would be iffy.

Heavily wooded and runs along the Red Cedar River the whole way. Great views of the river, canoeists etc... We went as far as the confluence of the Red Cedar and Chippewa Rivers (bridge). You could go further, but that seemed like a good turn around point. There is a small wide spot in the road about 5 miles from the Chippewa River that has ice cream and is a great spot to stop for a treat.

Trail surface is finely crushed gravel with hard packed dirt in places. You're in the woods most of the time so wind is typically not a factor for cyclists. This would be a good ride on a windy day.

Plan on bringing plenty of water and food as well as any tools, spare tubes etc... There is pretty much no nearby services and you're pretty much out in the country.

Our total ride was 28 miles in an out and back routing.
