We went in early spring. It was so pretty! This really is a short trail, but the views and the history are worth it. It is also only a short drive from a few other gorgeous places to hike.

Very nice trail. Very well maintained and marked. The hike was very buggy however because of all the rain this summer, so bring your insect repellent!

Not a long or particularly adventurous hike, but the unique scenery makes it worth while.

loved this hike!

A nice short walk with kids. Nice but not overwhelming variety of scenery.

Really enjoy night hiking this trail. It’s vet peaceful. Brown loop is perfect for taking my 7 year old daughter.

Great spot for photography.

Great mostly wooded trail. Many switchbacks with some rather steep areas. I would rate if difficult for a Wisconsin trail. i did the green loop. Orange loop bypasses the most difficult part of the green loop. nice overlook about halfway through the trail.

Mountain biker's gem. Just beware of the ridiculous amount of skeeters, no-see-ems and poison ivy. Don't be afraid to send it this fall!

great trail for hiking, nice variety of terrain and vegetation. although it is shared between MTB and hikers but since two groups are going in opposite directions, I didn't have any problem. everyone is respectful and keeps it safe. the overlook point C3 is a great spot for a break but keep in mind that return along the clockwise direction for hikers will take longer.

Easy trail for sure but make sure you check for ticks when you are done. I give it four stars but next time you go it needs to have been a cold winter before.

Awesome trails. Really fun.

Good trail and shared with bikes going in counter clockwise direction. Orange loop is easiest to follow. Signage is the same for both bikes and hikers. can be confusing first time out.
lots of hills and switchbacks. I like the trail as I'm preparing to hike the Inca trails in Peru. I wear a training altitude mask so if you see an old guy with a shaved head out there wearing a mask don't panic.

Great trail. Muddy but good. Kudos to the bikers that ride this. Pay for parking system is a joke though. Take a pen/pencil and paper money as envelopes with coins in won't fit through the slot.

This place is pretty cool. We did the Brown loop that is 2.5 miles. Muddy today but it is over 60 degrees so no excuse not to get out. Summertime should be awesome to bike and even hike further.

Woods kind of make me feel claustrophobic because of the narrow paths and sensation of going in circles since this is a mountain biking trail is prevalent. Also I think I saw an emu in these woods so this section kind of frightens me.

Did the brown trail, 3.1 miles. Nice trail through The woods quite a few small hills, not very difficult.

Mainly a bike trail. Narrow paths and lots of trees. No great views but clean and easy.

great trail, a fair amount of bikers , trail is narrow predominantly and hikers enter counter clockwise to see and get out of the bikers path. challenging trail with lots of up and downs. worth the extra distance to get to lookout point for a great view.

Amazing single track trails. Not too difficult for the beginning rider yet still some obstacles for some of the most experienced.

Went for a 30 mile ride and was completely satisfied.

brown = 3.5 mile trail
orange = 6 mile trail
green = 8 mile trail

I agree trails are poorly marked.

I had a great time hiking this trail, a very hilly area. Not much views since the treeline goes all the way up and is very thick.

A beautiful trail but very poorly marked.

Right on, Kayla. Great stuff. I almost skipped it to do Muir again. Glad I reconsidered. Found myself laughing out loud in some of the more fun sections. Not as much laughter climbing the back side of the green loop but the climbs pay off. Really fun, well maintained.

You can hike or bike this trail. Me and my boyfriend chose to hike it. The scenery is amazing. There are lots of steep hills and rocks. Personally, I don't know how someone could mountain bike on this trail, with all the rocks in the way. Then again, I am not a mountain biker. We did see plenty of bikers on the trail though. It is kinda hard to move out of the way of the bikers since the trail is so narrow. The bikers do go in the opposite direction though, so you can easily see them coming. There are three different loop paths to pick from, brown loop (2 miles), orange loop (4 miles) or green loop (6 miles). This gives you a lot of different choices, so you can really pick something based on your skill level. Overall, I would definitely recommend this trail. :)

This trail is a lot of fun and for moderate skill levels, or beginners in good shape. Theres an awesome view at the top of the hill.
