If you stay close to the water t he trail is awesome, there are some areas where you can cross the stream on rocks and trees. I have even seen some trout on the stream occasionally. Spring is a good time to go because the water is high and there are a lot less mosquitoes. The marked wide, wood chipped trail is very easy. 3 stars only because of mosquitoes.

The Bugline trek started in May 2017 and is still continuing throughout the seasons. It was my first railroad trail I've hiked on. I will always remember my first! Overall, the condition is excellent, the views are awesome (guy stuff if you like quarries) and piece & quiet are so inner, self- healing.

During the winter hike, the temp was rather cold, but right across from the Cop Shop / Fire Station in Lannon is Mibb's & Viv's. Friday fish fries are very good, reasonably priced and so are the Margaritas. YUM.

Nice hike on cold winter day. Some very steep sections that are slippery with snow or damp conditions. Great views.

Parked and walked the Ice Age trail to Gilbrater Rock then down to the parking lot. We took the road back to the Ice Age Trail parking lot. Beautiful hike in every way.

Awesome views

New path to the tower; nice views and family friendly

easy family hike

Hilly and gorgeous in the fall

Lush woods, gorgeous the entire way. The stream and falls were awesome. We hiked it on a 20 degree winter day with fresh snow. Stunning! Not a hard hike.

A little icy and dreary on a chilly December day, but still pretty views and well-maintained trail. Nice to see they are doing a good job to prevent erosion too!

Pretty winter trail with some snow. No bugs in December. No wildlife at least today.

love this trail

This is a well marked but essentially road running route through town. Almost no trail. Just city streets.

This is my go to trail when it’s hot. Almost entirely shaded and flat. Has a secluded beauty to it.

Janesville main bike path but rarely crowded. Nice views along greenbelt and forested areas. Mostly flat.

Classic off the beaten paths with constant up and down and lots of roots and rocks and a couple staircase sections. Hooks up with the Arbor Ridge section of Ice Age Trail for a nice hike.

Thick woods, gentle stream, and small meadow. Lots of side trails in the arboretum. Mostly single track. Challenging trail run.

Easy walk. Came across Bear scat. Variety on scenery between the birding trail, woods and bog.

Great variety in trials, some lowlands some highlands. Interesting scenery that opens up to large areas of water . Very quite. A great place to walk a dog that loves nature. BUT BEWARE OF THE TICKS
