very short. but nice.

Trail was about 0.3 miles. Waterfall spot was nice but nothing too exciting. Most of the upper area has been blocked off because people used to jump and injure themselves.

Very nice fun family trail. Beautiful views of the lake.

Had fun on this hike. It was challenging at some points. A lot of elevation changes at the first part. Be careful of slippery rocks on decents. Very nice fews off of the bluffs overlooking the lake and surrounding mountains.

A great place to explore! See all 15 of the worlds cranes. Wonderful wildflowers, great birding. Nature trails lead through prairie and forest and by a swampy area. All your senses will be stimulated along these trails.

Nice steep hike, good for some off trail climbing. Good challenge for all ages and dogs, beautiful views!

Easy to hike with a dog or the whole family, part of the trail is a bit tricky to identify. Great hike beautiful views

Great hike for the entire family.

inaccurate title so giving it 3 star. Map depicts a loop combining *part* of east bluff trail and east bluff WOODS trail. check park map carefully. Be prepared, this area has paved areas and strenuous rock stair ascents.

Awesome! Super steep start but worth the effort. Amazing views. We did tumbling rocks on the way back. Neat as well.

Very short hike with a nice swim at the end in some chilly water.

Beautiful place to spend a day. Lots of rental opportunities on the lake as well like, kayak, boat, paddle board etc. will do again!

Great hike with the family. Even on an extremely hot day, the views were worth the effort.

Take it easy going up if you arent used to walking up hills. The grade is gradual. The scenery is well worth it! If you go all the way around it does get rocky and close to the edge at some areas

Moderate loop that took us 2 hours on the dot to complete, with minor rest stops at the bluff tops. The lower leg (Tumbled Rocks Trail) offered a surprisingly cool landscape.

It was worth the 3 Hour drive. The snow and ice made more special.

It’s worth it, not sure why it’s rated moderate, it’s easy and a 2 year old was able to finish 0.9 mi

This is an awesome hike. Took my 3 yr. old daughter and she did pretty well on the inclines (although it was slow going). Had her in the backpack for the hike out thru the woods. Views were great. Pretty busy even during the week in the fall.

Good trail. Nice scenery and fairly easy.

Echo Rock Trail
My family and I had a great time on this trail. Our most fun was actually had off the trail exploring the rocks formations and ledges along the lake. We could clearly hear the interstate which was a bummer. Well maintained, clearly marked trails. However there are too many people in this park. I will only come back during the week to avoid the crowds.

Northwest trail-
Really nice hike, well maintained trails and clearly marked. Saw quite a few turtles in the lake along the trail. Also saw a beautiful woodpecker land right next to the trail. A lot of people. Too many in my opinion. I will never come back here on a weekend.

[ Northwest > Newport > Lakeview ] Trails:
Bring some bug spray, the trails are mostly wooded areas and if you're walking the mosquitoes can be overwhelming. Beautiful views of the lake from The east side of Northwest Trail! Northwest is between easy and moderate because of the few inclines. Newport and Lakeview trails are very easy. There is a nice little beach and playground between Newport and Lakeview. Boat rentals at the end of Lakeview! Super well maintained! You can bring your dog on a leash but beware there are no trash receptacles except at the park entrance... so be prepared to carry it with you till the end!

Very pretty trail. Didn't do the full course but planning on it. Went on a gorgeous day out & I loved how there was miniature waterfalls along the trails. Pure fresh cold water. Definitely going back.

Steep climb up CCC Trail and very steep decline among potholes Trail - beautiful scenery and view!

Favorite light hike to take my 5 year old on. Quite a few options to add a little distance to.

Crowded on weekends, especially in summer.
