Beautiful park and trail. The water is crystal clear, and the ferns in the woods were gorgeous. I do agree that I wouldn't say this trail is easy, as it is overgrown in places and is fairly rocky, but this trail was definitely worth it!

This trail was much harder than we were expecting for an “easy” trail. The trail is overgrown with tree trunks down for you to climb over or crouch under.... you spend 80% of the hike swatting gnats away from your face and hoping the overgrowth is nothing poisonous.... you start by hiking up and you end by hiking up... its a steep slope and there is only one bench for the entire loop to stop and rest on. The best part of our day was ditching the trail for a swim in the river... but it’s going to be a while before I’m up to something like this again.

Everyone keeps talking about trash all over the place?? I hike this trail often and have never seen trash all over!! Beautiful place to hike lots of wildlife beautiful views and NO trash.
If you see trash please be a good person and pick it up cause remember some person left it and no animal needs it. Trails are marked nicely but are a little over ran....With woods not trash!

Trail is marked well. Trash is overflowing in the trash cans but didn’t see any trash on the trail itself. Enjoyed the trail and plan to return soon.

nice trails to walk on in terms of forest growth, species diversity, bird calls, and river views. However, frequent encounter with beer cans and other trash thrown by irresponsible people and a state with no bottle law incentive forces me to give it only 3 stars.

Trash all over the trails, trash cans over flowing on the ground, the trails were over grown from start to finish. Just didn’t seem like the park staff cared about how the park looked

It was an easy to follow trail. I recommend starting on the upper alum cave trail first and then coming down the hill. We did it opposite and wish we would have done the hard part first. It's overgrown in some places, trail is still easy to follow. There's plenty of places to swim at the beginning, water is beautiful. Most of the trail follows the river. Very Peaceful and not too much traffic when we went on a Saturday afternoon. We wore tennis shoes, but hiking boots wouldn't be overkill bc of the rocks in some areas. We will be back

My wife, four children and I all enjoy hiking this trail. The river is beautiful and the surrounding scenery is spectacular! We have hiked it several times. Fun to swim in the river too.

Went around the cave trail which is a loop (started on upper cave trail and ended in the lower trail). Overall it was an absolutely beautiful trail. You can swim in the river which is really clear and nice. I recommend bringing water shoes, a bathing suit, and also try the hike. The total loop took me about 2 hours and I was going slow.

Very accessible and easy. I especially enjoy Audra in winter when enormous icicles have formed.

Audra is beautiful, and the park has a wonderful campground. The park ranger was very accommodating and helpful. The river has nice, flat rock beds to swim in. Definitely recommend visiting!
