Nice trail, great waterfall at park. Was a really chill hike!

Great walk

We loved this beautiful trail! However, we were expecting a 4 mile loop, we did the whole loop but it was only 2.4 miles. If you want to make it a 4 mile loop you got to do it twice. Don’t know why it’s listed it as a 4 mile loop.

I wouldn’t consider this an easy trail due to climbing back up the stairs. But it’s well worth doing!

Beautiful view and nice trail. There are muddy spots after rain.

my wife and I spent our honeymoon riding this Trail on our bikes.

Probably my favorite trail here. Pretty scenery. You’re gonna get wet though.

Pretty easy hike with a great view of the New River Gorge Bridge. Not crowed either!

A nice little hike

The amount of trash was heartbreaking.

Hiked this trail out from the Highwall Bypass trail. Very pretty through some flat bottoms. Although I went when it was relatively dry, areas here and there were a little muddy, but I believe that it's main cause for staying that way is mountain bikers keeping it tossed up. Water crossings through here were nice and all contained lovely foot bridges.

Very easy and fun trail to stroll through. This area of the park seems to be different from the rest when on the trail. A bit more open in parts of it and all around very enjoyable. There is an extension of the trail that adds .5 miles to it... Nothing too spectacular on it other than making good elevation gain to just immediately drop back to the trail to finish it out. towards the end of it there are is a nice field with Duck Creek flowing next to it with some interesting Geology.

White Oak part of the trail starting from the barn yard is nothing buy elevation.Once on the Hickory loop trail, though it was all down hill to the bottom of the valley where it rolled along the park Boundry with lovely grassy areas on the trail. There were a few areas where the trail had some rather steep scrambles when starting to ascend back to the top (doing on which way you start, but nothing too bad or long to not enjoy this secluded part of the park.

This trail is quite a hike to get to from the White Oak trail. Use caution because the trail does get narrow with a rather steep drop off on one side. Once on the trail it is relatively flat on the top of the trail till you are at the junction at the bottom of the hill where you meet Trick Track Trek and Hershey Single Track Trail.

i haven't been to this trail in many years, me and my family did this trail in 3 days total on bike, i would recommend to bring enough supplies with you for this, also no cell service from what i remember. its a great adventure but be prepared..

Really enjoyed the hike. The trail mouth was very easy to find and the hike was well marked. Short and sweet. A bit rocky in sections, be sure to have sturdy footwear and may not be the best for hikers with knee or ankle issues.

Easy walk with panoramic views of the bridge and the river at the end.

Our absolute favorite hike! It doesn't take too long to do and it's a fairly easy trail. Most of the more Moderate parts are towards the end. If you are in the area this trail is a must do!! We have been on this trail countless time, including a few bridge days! The view is stunning! Please remember to keep your dogs on a leash. We have encountered a few dogs who were not on leash, and our dog generally doesn't like other pups.

Great hike!

Like all other reviews say... don't do this trail if it's recently rained. Crossed a creek 14 times in it! Pretty wilderness down in the bottoms though. Not listed here is the North Boundry Trail which is an extra mile extenstion that is fairly flat with lots of moss growth and very beautiful shale barrens on top of a ridge for you to view.

Great trail to just hike and enjoy the day. The view at the end is definitely worth the short hike. I’ve hiked it more times than I can count and look forward to going back.

This is my favorite trail near our home. The chance to hike along a stream and take in the sounds of rushing water is very calming. I enjoy this trail year round.

I have been coming to black water falls every year science I was a baby and this has always been one of my favorite trails. It is always pretty muddy at some parts so I would advise against wearing your nicest shoes.

so it was March 24th, but lo and behold we had snow and lots of it! That had its own treat. I love hitting trails in all seasons. For example you could hear the river below but you couldn't even see it. I found the trail a little confusing, ended up looping twice, it was good exercise. Wear good shoes, there's a lot of tree roots and rock, but if you're into it it's great!

Great trail with amazing views at the end!

Beautiful from start to finish and the park is always improving it. The views are something you'll wanna keep going back to see. The one and only downfall is it can get crowded sometimes so go on a work day and an odd time and you will get to enjoy it alot more

A must-stop for me anytime I’m passing through. You can either march it or take your time. Light trail with nearly zero challenge, only elevation changes on the boardwalks.

Towering exposed boulders and many contemplative, wooded outlooks.

Well maintained and attractive boardwalks. Has been moist every time I’ve visited, despite any higher ground or open field weather conditions, so be very careful about slippery planks. Do not run!
