Kind of muddy and rocky, but it had just recently rained. Not too strenuous of a hike until the last hill, but beautiful views from the top.

Great trails! Finally realized - follow the blue diamonds. The main trail is wide and graveled and fairly easy for just about anyone to navigate. The blue diamond trail is a bit more challenging and does have trip hazards (exposed roots, rocks, sticks) but it's a beautiful walk/jaunt/ride through woods. Wouldn't have it any other way. Enjoy!

Good trail, easy to follow. The furnace is cool and you can go inside it.

A bit hilly and rocky. The view is better here than from Coopers Rock. Less crowded too.

The furnace itself is a cool thing to see. The trail is mostly downhill on the way to the furnace and, of course, uphill on the way back. It's a nice work out and is near a stream. This trail also intersects with other trails so you change things up if you so desire.

Beautiful view. The view here is better than the one from Coopers Rock overlook and is less crowded. The trail is on a stream bed so it can be slippery after a rain shower.

Great view; definitely can be muddy if it’s rained lately.

Great hike. Definitely watch for rattlesnakes in the open part of the clay run trail

Went on the hike yesterday morning, and the temperature was perfect. We took the North Mont Chateau trail and veered off into some other trails, and at the end clocked in at about 11.5 miles (with 175 floors climbed)! The hike is marked well and has some great views. Walking in between some of the massive rocks, seeing the Iron Furnace and seeing the mini-beach at Cheat Lake were some of the biggest highlights. The overlook of Coopers Rock is amazing but was extremely crowded. If you come during early morning, you may have a better experience. Overall great hike, definitely worth the 5 hours for me. Check out some of my photos. Sitting down afterwards was great haha

Great views, rocky and muddy

...had been several years since on the trail...it is nearly downhill (sloping) all the way until the last trek...then it is up up up...as others say, it was rocky, wet and muddy...i have always found it difficult to look at the greenery to my left and right, because i am watching my feet!...and yes, the power line is a sad meet but, hey, what a view!!...weather was great and just enough hikers on it to feel comfortable by myself yet plenty of quiet time for my dog and i

I had a day off and decided to hike this trail, since all the reviews said the trail was marked and easily followed I knew it would be a great hike. Unfortunately, it's not marked all that great and I ended up taking wrong turn that resulted in 1.5 miles out and back to get back onto the trail turning my 5 mile hike into 8.
I used the app the rest of the trail until i happened upon the end of it which wasn't well marked at all and eventually I just followed the road. Everything was beautiful, and had this been at my peak fitness a couple years ago I wouldn't have felt like I was going to die. I'd recommend using the app to guide you if you're going to follow this trail as it is actually a loop around several connecting trails. If you do that, you'll likely have a much better experience than I. Happy Trails!

Furnace trail is great. Plus it intersects with so many other awesome trails. The Clay Furnace is pretty interesting too.

Trail starts great down through huge boulders. Declines down into a valley with a beautiful creek and the clay furnace. The second half of the trail is pretty open without a lot of great scenery.

We came on a cold Sunday and this was a very nice, short walk. We actually continued on the Mont Chateau Trail all the way to Cheat Lake. Both Mont Chateau North and South are very rocky, much like a stream bed. We found the North trail to be harder to traverse. Definitely worth the Sunday trip!

A fun little hike, especially if you enjoy bouldering. The trail is pretty flat, but the “rock city” is enchanting and provides some fun climbing, so bring your shoes and a crash pad! We went in the late fall and saw only a few other hikers.

Absolutely gorgeous view at the top, but the walking trail itself does not vary much in appearance. Still a great walk through the woods. Not too steep, and not horribly crowded, but we did pass several groups during the hike and we shared the top of the mountain with a few other groups as well.

Rocky in some places and muddy in others. Not much elevation gain, but still, wonderful view at the end.

Cool, plus there's a hidden waterfall that's runs off the lake

I have been hiking some of the trails at Ohiopyle and Farmington Pennsylvania, and also within the Coopers Rock State Park near Morgantown, West Virginia. The drive to these aren’t bad, a twenty five to fifty minute trip. I live just a few miles east of Morgantown and walked the White Park Trails for the first time after seeing it listed on the All Trails App. It’s a wonderful trail with lots of scenery and even if you don’t mountain bike it’s neat getting a glimpse of the mountain bikers going through the trees and up and down the humps and bumps. Not only do I love this trail, but it’s right in Morgantown and only a fifteen minute drive or less from where I live. Did not know this trail system existed, so thanks for having it listed on your app. I will be hiking it quite often.

Nice easy trail! Pretty muddy and lots of rocks so wear the right boots! Amazing view at the end

Rewarding view at the end. The road/trail out to raven rock is very rocky with lots of golf ball and baseball size rocks to twist an ankle. Bring your binoculars and look at all the goobers over at coopers rock overlook.

This is my go-to trail when I have visitors. It is just the right length and just the right amount of exertion to feel like you've done something. The overlook at the end is amazing and is what keeps me coming back to this trail.

This was a fun, short trail! Was the only person on the trail today! Clearly marked, well-maintained!

Fun, easy walk through the rocks. Would like to go back and take my time to enjoy the formations. It was pretty busy when I was there, so I would like to go back during a weekday to enjoy the trail in solitude.

Pretty decent hike...very rocky trail...overall it's pretty easy with some nice views of fern beds and humongous rock structures.
