We ride this trail frequently. It's a well maintained trail (minus one downed tree that'sbeen there for a year). There are some good climbs to rev up your heart rate! It takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour on the bike.

It is a nice trail that is maintained well. It only took my friends and I 1.5 hours to complete.

This trail is one of the better trails at Beech Fork!

Great trail! We hiked it two days in a row in opposite directions. On the first day, two dogs came running up behind us at full speed and scared us half to death! They walked with us for a while until they heard something and went to investigate. We assumed they were dropped at the lake but we posted pics and shared on Facebook to see if anyone lost them. The second day we started at the gravel access road and it was quite a long uphill walk to start. After we got into the woods it was smooth sailing. Saw several deer along our hike.

Great hike. The are a few areas of high grass, made by legs itchy.

Fun trail for an afternoon hike. If you start at the parking lot trail-head and hike the trail clockwise you climb much of the elevation gain in the first half mile. Pay attention for the trail marker (right side) at about 0.4 miles where the trail leaves the road. If you get to the antennas you have passed the turn off. Muddy conditions on the section along the lake. Trail is generally well marked Fun 3 miler!

Good trail ... wide path for most of trail ... does have one extremely steep hill though

A good trail with lake views. A campground is at the trailhead. Lots of families out on the beginning/end of the loop, but not many people on this trail once you get a few miles in. There is cell service on this trail so you can use this app and check maps. Get outside! :)

Beaver Pond and Twin Coves are two seperate trails located at Beech Fork Park near the marina end not the campground end. There are several excellent trails at Beech Fork Park at each end of the lake. I would rate Beaver Pond as easy and Twin Coves as moderate.

One of several good trails at Beech Fork Park. Located near the campground Lost Trail runs along part of the longer Mary Davis Trail. Both are excellent and I would rate them as moderate.

This is a fairly low traffic trail - more mountain bikers than hikers. There are a few places where there are forks in the trail, but it is pretty well marked. The good news is, the many unmarked trails you come across all eventually lead back to the main trail - but some are several miles long! Be sure to download the map so you can find your way if you venture off the marked trail.

Nice trail . We use it and the adjoining Mary Davis Trail with my sons scout troop two to three times a year. It is typical West Virginia hills with nice views at times of the lake and occasional wild life.

Fun trail, clearly marked, pretty easy, great hike to take the dogs!

Took my two Trail blazing pups and hit the trails. It rained for about two hours but the trail was amazing. Seen lots of wildlife too.

nice trail

This is a regular hike of mine. I enjoy this trail a lot. With the water crossings and hills, doing the Twin Coves loop, I would rate it as moderate rather than easy.

Excellent local trail. I recommend going when it's snowing.

Well marked and traveled loop trail in Beech Fork State park. Good amount of yellow reflectors or painted dots on the trees. Saw quite a few small deer. Nice views of the lakes from the top as well as while walking alongside them. May not get much of a view during the summer. We hiked in November after most of the leaves had fallen. Took our dog and he loved every second of it. Good amount of up and down and felt like a moderate workout.

We did this trail yesterday and we loved it, so did our pups...the perfect amount of ups and downs to be a good workout.

Challenging but good workout!

Great trail! Good workout on the hills. The trail itself was a little muddy, but well marked. The whole thing is shaded. Good spots to stop and take a water break. No creek or lake to cool off in, though. I'd do it again!
