It’s a short, easy hike with a few muddy spots. We visited early afternoon on a Saturday so parking was tight. Expect to possibly to park along the road or hike back from the Nordic (snow/ski) parking lot (a mile or so away).

An easy trail though parts are usually very muddy, at least in spring. Views are stunning at the overlook.

Short, easy hike to a spectacular view

Easily overlooked gem... Easy short hike to a spectacular view. I've always ended up hiking this trail late in the day. I'm sure picture taking would be better in the morning. Hunt this little guy down. You won't be disappointed.

Very easy short out and back trail with a few muddy spots from the the rain. The view was beautiful!

Beautiful view! Easy, quick hike. 0.83 miles down to overlook. Great view of gorge.

Beautiful view and nice trail. There are muddy spots after rain.

Very easy "hike" with great views of Blackwater Canyon valley.

Easy, short trail with breathtaking views at the point. Would be a fantastic hike in the fall once the leaves reach their peak colors. Definitely a great hike for a beginner but views that anyone will enjoy.

Beautiful view, easy to get to. Go for the sunset.

I like this view even better than Blackwater Falls! Easy, wide flint rock trail with some rocks/roots, but after a rain there would be areas of the trail that are standing water. The view is worth it!

Enter Blackwater Falls State Park and drive eastward along the north rim, past the lodge, and continue on a narrow paved road until you see a sign for 4x4 traffic only. There is a small, four car, parking area and a small sign for Lindy Point Overlook. The trail from the road to the overlook is about 12 minutes along a heavily-travelled dirt path. The overlook is stone surrounded by a heavy wooden fence and offers a panoramic view of the gorge. Second only to the waterfall at the western end of the gorge, Lindy Point is the best view.
