Great walk

I wouldn’t consider this an easy trail due to climbing back up the stairs. But it’s well worth doing!

Short hike, stairs to waterfalls! beautiful and worth checking out. we also walked around camp grounds for some extra hiking. well kept! only took about .6 miles for us.

Fun place for families; easy little walk from the parking lot for a great view of the falls. There's another nice overlook on the other side of the park, from a higher vantage point. Both are worth stopping for. Keep driving around the park and you'll encounter several nice waterfall views, trailheads for more legitimate hiking trails, and likely several very friendly deer waiting to be fed by tourists (don't do it!). Overall, a very picturesque park filled with mature rhododendrons and evergreen trees.

Just got back from a trip there. Beautiful scenery. A lot of the trail is very rocky. Not pebbles but large stones you have to negotiate. We happened to go in the rain and the trail was a creek with a few larger pools that presented challenges to keeping your feet dry. The creek was up do to the rain and was quite impressive. Multiple camps sights down by the creeks edge. We made it from the parking lot at the top of fire road 80 to the campsites in about 2 hours or so carrying packs.

Great, easy walk.

check road conditions when you're planning to do this trail! tried to get to this trail yesterday and it was completely inaccessible - forest rd 244 is closed for the year and with all the recent rain, canaan loop rd past lindy point was almost impassable (it's normally a rougher rd but it's currently full of giant pot holes and swamped in some areas). if you have a truck/jeep/4 wheeler you would probably be fine coming in from the lindy point side, but i couldn't make it in an AWD subaru.

Autumn colors are on full display right now and looking lovely as ever. This was a very easy walk in the woods, mostly stairs.

Beautiful day for a hike in Davis, WV. Parked at Blackwater Lodge and found many trails. Stop in the lodge first and ask for a trails map. Hiked app. 6 miles and I had the three trails I was on all to myself. Falls were running low due to the lack of rain lately. I am staying at Black Bear Lodge just South of Davis, very nice.

More forest than anything. Low falls however only to split before balance rock was completed.

Great view. As noted it can be rocky and narrow path with the blazes marked clearly.

beautiful scenery . Trail is well kept and used ,but offered some challenges . The fire was magnificent. Wish that the trail spilt off to the rockface overlook was better marked and wish that cutoff was widened.... it's so tight I was waiting for a snake or a bear to jump out at me lol

A beautiful short hike to see the waterfall. A nice way to stretch our legs after the 3.5 hour drive to WV - enjoy the scenery, then go on one of the other trails for a longer hike

Be prepared to get muddy and wet. Lots of bogs and mud everywhere! I forget which trails exactly in Dolly Sods but you will cross some creeks. Some have stepping rocks, some don't! These trails are insanely beautiful but very difficult in most areas due to the terrain.

AMAZING

The trails are tough and demanding... the amount of trash left here is blasphemy.

Gorgeous view from overlook. A little side trail to left shortly after first wooden bridge that takes you down over hill to river for some beautiful pics. Took our dog and she loved the hike and along with some spots for her to play in water
