There were lots of places where the trail split and not very good signage on which way to go. Pretty well worn path but barely any blazes. Wonderful little grotto falls at the end!

I took my daughters on this trail and they really enjoyed it. We started off to the left and there was plenty to look at. We stopped at the midway point for lunch. The first half of the trail was in excellent condition, but the second half of the loop was incredibly muddy. That was the only negative aspect. Overall a fun trail and my kids want to do it again in the future. It took us about two hours because they wanted to take photos. I did a thorough check for ticks afterwards and did find one, so check for ticks as this trail is heavily wooded!

Just a little mud. A couple blow downs. Very enjoyable trail.

Trail is very wide and gravel. Good for regular hike or trail running. Did see a black snake so watch for wildlife.

Trail was muddy (did rain the last few days). Decent hike with sections that will get your heart rate up. Very enjoyable. Good hike.

Nice easy trail.

We added in a middle ridge loop, but overall great hike! Perfect for May, very green and lush with the stream running beautifully.

A gorgeous, easy walking trail. Completely gravel, nice + wide, perfect for a casual walk through nature. We especially enjoyed the trees, the overlook, and reminiscing on good memories.

Incline trail. Nice hike though, just wish the view from the rock was better. You do NOT come back out at the start point. It will be about 1/4 mile from trailhead.

This was a fun trail to explore! It was quite muddy in places following several days of rain. We witnessed several people fall, including myself slipping on a rock while trying to get a better view of the waterfall, but that was user error. There also aren’t many markings but there were others on the trail so they were able to give us pointers. We will definitely do this trail again when the park opens back up!

Nice well maintained trail! Flowers are gorgeous.

Great hike. Uphill to begin. Levels out. One decent rock lookout. Descent follows creek. Loop trail that ends just down the toad from where it begins.

There is one fairly steep incline, but after that - the trail flattens out. There is a beautiful stream close to Alligator Rock and a Geocache!

This is a well maintained, wide walking path. It can get challenging going up depending on the speed you’re walking at. Great views of the city when the leaves are off the trees and feels like you’re away from the city when they’re in bloom.

Fun trail I do often - I always drop off at alligator rock instead of finishing it out as mapped. Great views. See the rock over look at the top of the hill as well! Cold and rainy when we went today and mud was average to minimal.

Nice easy trail. Kid friendly.

On February 2, 2020 my car was broken into on the Carriage Trials parking lot... My purse was stolen with all my credit cards, etc. There are no Camaras or police presence. Another Mercedes was also vandalized the same time. NOT SAFE.. this was in 75 degrees weather at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Great trail— however, I wouldn’t say that it is kid friendly. Maybe for older kids, but it was not a very good trail for an almost 4 year old and an almost 2 year old. The views are great, and the waterfalls are beautiful! I recommend 10/10!
