Good hike. Decent amount of elevation climb and rocky “ankle breaker” parts of the trail. Not too bad, but also wasn’t expecting it. The lake was beautiful and if you keep walking around the perimeter of it there’s a neat dock/lookout point. The gravel road to the trail wasn’t the great and pretty washboarded. Overall it was a great day and fun hike!

Great hike. Very scenic.

Would have been more fun if there wasn't much traffic. Bringing the dog forced us off the trail in very steep spots

so worth the hike!

OK trail, beautiful lakes and scenery. hiked in and spent the night with my 12 year old son. The fact that motorcycles share the trail mean that your in for a dusty mess this time of year.

Great hike! Nicely shaded throughout the trail. GPS watch read 7.44 miles after finishing. Mosquitoes were out and about, but nothing crazy. Wild flowers starting to get crispy. Ran into about a dozen people on the trail. Quite a few dirt bikes. =/ Would make a great trail run.

Great hike. Trail 1350 goes to lost lake (about 2 miles), then continue (4 more miles) to Manastash lake. Walking, motorcycle, and horseback are the preferred method of travel. It's just $5.00 for the day and you can purchase this pass using cash just past the Manastash lake road entrance, at Riders Campsite, just a mile or so further on the right-hand side. Hiking to Lost lake, on foot, only takes us 45 minutes with a few short stops. Manastash lake is about 2+ hours on foot.

Very scenic hike. Pretty easy hike with great scenery. The 9 miles of gravel road to the trailhead was not fun in our Camry. After completing the hike and reaching our car I was rewarded with a flat tire. Make sure you have good tires, and better yet drive a pickup or SUV.

Loved the trail. It's about 4 miles round trip to the lake and back. Beautiful scenery.

Trail is motocross - deep ruts. The lake is cool but better to do as a hike than mountain bike.

Great hike, fairly easy for kids at least 6 yrs old, and good fishing in the lakes, oh and look around in the rocks in the lake, many salamanders and crawdads in the creeks, good fun for the kids and family!!

Headed out this morning in hopes of a nice day hike with 5 others. Most of our preferred trails are still under snow so we headed a little further east. Unfortunately for us, the road (FS31) was gated about 9 miles from the trailhead. There was a significant washout about a mile in from the gate back in 2010 that has caused the road closure. Not wanting to waste the day, we proceeded with a road walk for about 4.5 miles. It was nice since the road pretty much follows the Manastash Creek. At 4.5 miles we turned around and headed back. The other possible access is from the Taneum area. The road system is fairly good in that area and my guess is that it's accessible from that side.
