My dog and I went for a short hike today. Trail was clean with plenty of parking. Great easy hike. We only went 1.7 miles out. Highly recommend for novices like me.

The trail itself is great, but it's heavily trafficked

Definitely an hour well spent, but the views from the top were obstructed by trees. We spent more time admiring the views from the trail than we did at its peak.

Woods in the middle of the city. boring beach.

great hike!!! lots of stairs!!! went early beat the crowds!!!

This hike is nice and beautiful. It’s an easy hike up and a great place. Unlike Mount Si and Mailbox Peak Trail, this trail is not crowded at all. The view at top is gorgeous.

Trail condition is pretty good. There is a creek crossing that’s not bad at all. The upper 1.5 miles has a thin layer of snow (about 1”) but no microspikes are needed.

Parking usually is not a problem at this hike because it is less crowded.

My AllTrails recording says 8.2 mi round trip and 3287 ft elevation gain. It took us 3 hours and 45 minutes to do the whole hike up and down.

Beautiful views of the Mountains. Some trees down over the path that are tricky to navigate. Really icy at the top and around the lake. The path around the lake isn’t an easy one, but worth the walk. Amazing pics!

Good views. Good for running and taking out of towners to.

Amazing view of Mt Baker at the top. Don’t follow the trail right by the lake as it does not continue, and drops off into the lake.

It was an easy hike... it got cold at the top. Enjoy the hike.

The trail is nice. It’s a good scenic trail with lots of cool places to stop and take pictures. The only bad thing is it’s a popular trail. Once you get to the top, you’ll be fighting for places to stop and take a break or pictures. We went on a Saturday morning and we were at the top with about 50 other people who had the same idea as we did today. The parking lot fills fast and people started parking on the street before the parking lot. So, we’ll definitely go back on a Wednesday morning or something so it won’t be so crowded.

Wet, slippery but beautiful! Waterproof shoes a must! Beautiful and frosted ground at the lake.

Very pretty, easy hike. It's great for a fall/winter hike when the skies aren't as clear. Can't believe how many big and small falls there are.

Amazing

good for kids

Beautiful and well maintained park with numerous trails.

Gorgeous hike! Walked up the south west side first - a bit rocky and muddy, but doable. Sometimes there were a lot of slippery leaves, but we took our time and didn’t have any casualties. Excited to do this one again!

Great trail! So many beautiful sites. Great workout but, not too hard. Be sure to take the small off trails to the overlook and waterfall on the backside of the lake.

Awesome place! My first time off roading, we just got a Jeep. There are more trails here then advertised. We actually got a bit lost, and discovered that the new Jeep would tackle obstacles which I would never have attempted had I a choice! Very fun time! Now I want to lift it!

The trails are starting to get a little muddy in places and there was 4 to 5 inches of water over the Lake Trail near the north end on the west side. The upper sections of the Sylvia Ridge and Brownie trails go through a recent clear cut.

took the nieces and nephews here while out in the boat, nice trails that wrap around the island. trails are well maintained, took about 2 hours walking without many breaks to walk 75% of trail system. if you have more time it's worth the trip but anchor out and row in to shore the dock fee is nothing short of robbery

One of my favorite hikes in the area! Beautiful, well maintained trail with a sweet, woodsy fragrance that's impossible to describe. Linger at the lake for a swim & packed lunch.
Will be a little challenging for new hikers but on the easy side for stronger ones.

Great hike for all age groups. If you’re not a beginner, I’d recommend trail running as well. Breathtaking views from the cliff. You can continue further if you wish as the trail continues further. Took us 3 hours from car to car including breaks. Would highly recommend for sunrise.

Nice walk. Have seen owls on two different walks near Brook Lake.

Terrific trail, I got lost and ended up doing the loop! No need for bug spray in November! However, on a windy day, do bring your chainsaw as trees can fall across the road! I will attempt to attach photos!

Steep for kids, but amazing views and great lookout at the top. Mountain stream just over halfway up.

Went today in the rain, pretty good rainy day hike with a lot of tree coverage. However, there are lots of rocks/roots that get slippery. Several different streams to cross and a good bit of time walking through water, having waterproof boots is *highly* recommended. 2-3 cars when we arrived around 9:30, but was full as we left around 11:45. The gravel road had a lot more potholes than we expected, doable in a basic car, but going slow + dodging was definitely key.

Hiked Nov 3: NW Forest Pass needed, easy road terrain driving in, bathrooms at TH. Well-marked, slight incline/decline, trail was not slick, a few blow-downs, very very wet, sometimes feel as if you are walking through a waterfall while on the trail, although it was easy to navigate. Huge beautiful old growths and so many waterfalls, I lost count! Lake 22 was beautiful! Quite popular but not overcrowded. Can’t wait to come back in the Spring!
