A really good off road hike! Trails overgrown but good, only got off course once. Quite a bit of bugs. They have trash cans out there, and for the most part people pack it out.

Really cool and diverse area for all sorts of activities. Hiking, mountain biking. and rock climbing. The first part of this is not well marked at all, hence the 4 stars.

Super easy hike. Fun to take our dog, but with there weren't so many people all of the time.

Great trail with beautiful views! One super steep part but otherwise so nice! My 4 year old handled like a champ and loved it!

Great hike with a steady climb. If you start out by going to clockwise, you will have a pretty good incline to go up. Lots of shade and good views.

HikingGreat!

I don't know who did the original recording but it's way off. This trail is closer to 5.5 miles. Even so, it was a great hike. The first couple miles is almost all uphill which I wasn't expecting, I guess I should have looked at the elevation gain in the app. Beautiful views and vista's though. I loved it and can't wait to go again. I will say that the creek could barely be called a creek. It was very very small and seemed to have only a small rivulet of water flowing down it.

This is a really nice trail! We had a lot of fun hiking around and exploring. The trails and maps were nice. The only thing that made this a 4 star is that there were drug deals happening and many different homeless “homes” around many of the corner within the first mile.

Very nice hike with some nice features and excellent views but beware mileage is understated. Loop is 6.5 miles but total distance is over 8 miles from Steven’s Creek Trailhead parking lot.

This was a great family hike! Well marked trails and the parking was good. The view is beautiful and the rocks were even better!

As soon as we arrived, the parking lot was packed. But as soon as we started the trail, we didn’t see as many people as I thought we would, which was nice. Everyone we passed were really friendly. It is a beautiful trail. I took my kids out and they loved it. Loved the views but as soon as we got to the bench, the mosquitos ate us up. We got to see deer and we also saw wild turkey! Even a snake. Passing the flowers smelled so good too. I’ll definitely come back.

I really enjoyed this! It was super easy, except for one little steep incline, but it’s relative short, and we, along with our dog, made it up just fine. I’d definitely recommend it!!

7/5/2020 - Beacon has been one of my favorite local places to hike and trail run since 2001. I love running the switchbacks down the back of Beacon and going to the left and connecting into Camp Sekani trails. Watch for bikes... suggest only 1 ear bud if listening to something. The view at the top gives you a panoramic view from the valley to Mead.

7/4/2020 - Excellent day for a hike/trail run. such beautiful views. Ran down to Steven's Creek trailhead. there is no trail information on the trailhead board, so I just backtracked up the trail I just came down. was hoping there was a connecting trail that would allow me to loop. still absolutely beautiful and peaceful hike/run.

Love this hike! It is my go-to hike in this area. So far it still reigns as my daughter's favorite too.

Nice walk. Parts were steep depending on which bike trail you choose. Some great vistas on top. Watch for bikes!
