Good trail, interesting scenery, either loop could be done on it’s own, some ups and downs but not too crazy. Dogs enjoyed it.

Super over grown, I’d recommend wearing pants with all the thorny bushes. Big rocks to climb over so kids will need help.

Easy, under twenty minutes, evening bike ride pulling a tot trailer. On a hot 92° evening, this is a perfect balance of shade and sun. We will return again, especially when said tot starts riding her own bike.

Kids had a great time. Lots of hikes all around this area. We walked down to the water and walked around in it to freshen up.

Nice trail with nice views of the city it does go off road and is quite overgrown there isn’t a ton of shade but it was a really hot day when we went other than that it was a nice long hike definitely recommend wearing some longer pants with all the brush!

Nice trail. Pretty steep and steady incline —and a butt burner on the way up. The views of the Palouse at the top are amazing. Down hill starting is a bit slippery (rocky) but the majority down is good. Start early or it gets very warm in August but it was nice to have cover/shade most of the way. I would definitely not call this trail easy though. I’d call it moderate.

We hike this trail often and enjoy it! Today trail seems a bit overgrown, otherwise nice morning hike with our dogs.

A beautiful view of the river and a nice trail. There are several route options to consider once you cross the suspended bridge.

I hiked this loop yesterday 7/24/2020 early morning. The trails were peaceful and quiet except for the birds singing. Saw a few hikers every now and then. Lots of pretty birds and I saw the eagle nest on top of the tree on the other side of the river. Didn't see any deer though. The suspension bridge is my least favorite part lol. Will be going back again soon.

Would not rate this an easy. Has some steep sections! Good views.

Oops pay no attention to the length of this hike. I forgot to stop the recording. I run this route a lot and it was a fun hike with the fam. Only 2 miles too!!

Perfect conditions today! I got an early start, arrived about 7:30a, 3 other cars already in the parking lot - 14 cars in the lot when I finished my loop at 9:15a. Enjoy!!

Did this hike today with my little dog. It’s a little longer than reported... super peaceful! Mtn bikes would have been fun too.

Beautiful hike. Lots of shade. The deer are used to people. Very well traveled if you're concerned about being close to civilization. Very easy.

HikingNo shade

GO EARLY in the morning if you are doing this hike in summer. I slept in and started at 11am... weather climbed to 96F today. Bring lots of water and at least a hat. There is only shade for about the first 1/3 of the trail and the rest is sunny meadows with the rare occasional tree’s shade to hide behind for a moment. Nice trail, pretty narrow and bushy so I see why some reviews talked about ticks. However, in late July I didn’t get any... could be more of an issue in spring. Also download the trail as there’s many different loops and attached trails that can be confusing if you don’t know it well.

This is a fun little trail, its mostly on a ridge so don't go at 11 am like I did! (not alot of shade towards the middle and end)

Mixed feeling about this trail. Really pretty and fun little trail but lots of evidence of people camping out and some possible drug activity. My parents said it’s been like that for years. I brought a friend and pepper spray... was glad it did.

Walking

A comfortable stroll. Nothing too much to talk about. 99% asphalt and some picaresque views of the river. A friendly couple asked if I knew where the “Red Wagon” was. Apparently there is a Red Radio Flyer wagon hanging out somewhere... or at least there used to be. Stay clear of someone named Rick - Apparently his title makes him of ill-repute. But don’t take my word for it... It is written everywhere.
