Awesome! I love this Trail. It’s great for running because it separates pedestrians and bikes. Most people are there to exercise so you don’t get groups hanging out and blocking the trail. There is views of Mt Rainer in the South direction and views across the water of the Olympics in the North direction.

A seattle favorite, heavily treed, creeks, some homeless camps dampen the experience though

on the south side of the capitol hill hump, and quite worth the extra step. First impression is: What a Marvel. Second impression: let's wait until the pandemic is over; I suspect it gets crowded.

Make your own loop.

Ran this trail on May 19th. Weather was ok but for just the fact that it didnt rain, I would say the weather was great. As expected, trail was well maintained. I’m still a newbie in running in public places so when I got to the area around Museum of HAI, the view of lots of people sitting there enjoying the sunset and each other’s company kinda caught me off guard. Yet, there were other runners around further on the pavement so that was conforming for me onwards. Apart from this, it was a great run catching views of water and spring flowers right in the middle of the city. Plus, some yatch looking in front of Fred Hutchinson CRC was fun.

High traffic walking/running trail. Good for exercise and casual walks. I reserve higher rating for trails with views and good natural environments.

Trail best for exercise. Views are okay, trail follows greenbelt behind warehouses and commercial buildings. There are occasional road crossings. So you will not have to worry about vehicles very often. I reserve higher ratings for trails that are more visually appealing and offer an experience.

Too many bugs and flower pollen ... March

Easy walking loop

Great trail - loop around the lake. Trail is closed for bike riding even though there was a lot of people riding their bikes anyways. Everyone was pretty spaced out keeping their distance, the parking lot is closed so you’ll have to find parking on the street outside. Overall great area for a walk/jog.

Did the run/walk here on May 9th. Very nice weather out! It’s nice to see people enjoying the beach/hike and still trying to keep a good distance from each other. The Alki Beach Park was busier than it should though. If you want to enjoy that downtown Seattle skyline, go to Hamilton Viewpoint Point Park or basically anywhere along the trail north of Alki Beach Park! There are way less people and they dont hang around as long.

Visited the park back in November 2019 beautiful fall foliage. Enjoyable walk through the park.
