Awesome quick and easy hike right in the heart of residential area! The cool part is that it's in a valley so you don't really notice or feel like you're in a residential area. Quick and awesome little Jog if you live in the area, 100x better than runnin on pavement. It's got good groomed gravel.

A nice walk in a pretty day.

My favorite Seattle hike when the mountains feel too far away. Just watch out for all the trail runners;)

Little gem in town.

Forest in the city. Nice alternative route to walk through town.

Beautiful views and easy hike. I love the hike in terms of convenience. Less travel time and no hassles in terms of parking.

Worth the drive out for a relaxing beautiful run. You can run easily and enjoy the views or go all out. Recommended for a “recovery run”

Wonderful fun run with plenty of hills and views. Great fresh air. Beautiful run.

Great variety of trails and meadows and beach. Doesn’t even feel like you’re in Seattle !

easy bus ride from downtown. lots of options to extend your walk. a nearby wastewater plant lends some unwanted "ambience" in places, but wasn't too bad. fog can limit the view on some days too.

Nice trail, lots of different routes. Ideal for a trail run in the city!

when we went there was a sewer odor to the water which made the trail less attractive right away. we parked at a park where there were several homeless people sleeping? next to their home made pipes. I kept worrying that my dog would find something harmful. wouldn't go back.

I’ve been utilizing this trail for over 15 years and not bored with it yet. There are so many areas to access the trail that one could possibly hike/walk for several days straight and never cover the same area twice. This is a great trail if your training to run or walk a marathon. Only drawbacks are that it is very flat (if your looking for a bit of a workout) and high traffic including cyclists. 15 mph signs are posted for cyclists, but almost completely disregarded.

Fab walk on a gorgeous sunny day

beautiful surprise great for weddings

Not really hike but a nice space to walk through an old growth area in the middle of the city. Quiet and peaceful with meandering trails through the woods.

Can be muddy so be prepared to get your shoes dirty.

It’s a nice easy hike. Beautiful views of bluff, beach, and the Olympic range in the distance. Try to plan your trek just as low tide arrives. The ocean leaves beautiful tide pools brimming with starfish and other animal life.

I still have yet to make it into the city on this track but definitely great for checking off miles!

Nice easy trails, great to bring dogs on. The loop is 4.4 mi but the network is extensive and you could easily double that if you want.

Good trail with very nice views and ocean nearby and it's easy.

Scenic trip - great trail surface. Views of the lake are stunning especially on a beautiful Fall day. I could see it being muddy if it had recently rained. We combined this along with the Washington Arboretum trail which made for a nice long walk/hike.

Best on clear days when you can see Mt Rainier hovering over Lake Washington.

Great walk with enough going on to keep it interesting.

Little muddy though. Went in June.

Little muddy when we went in June. Beautiful views. Reflections in the water were amazing! Loved all the lilypads. Doesn’t feel like you’re in the middle of the city.
