great hike last week carrying our kids in the Kelty kids carriers.

Great hike. I took my 8 and 4 year olds with me and they did fine. Steady incline thats not too steep. A couple good view points, most notably on the north east side of the trail. Its easier than snow and bench lakes just down the road, but not as pretty. Still a great hike. Will do again.

The stairs are a bit steep, but overall an easy hike. Bugs are heavy but it motivates you to keep moving. View are exceptional. Wildflowers are blooming, too!

Beautiful scenery! Half way down the trail you will see a metal stake in the ground and a couple pieces of wood blocking the trail. You are missing out if you don’t take that path down to the lake! It is kind of overgrown but if you want a picture of the mountain reflecting over the lake this is the only spot to get it. Absolutely stunning!! Would have been a perfect hike if the bugs weren’t so bad!

Was great! Paved trail. Worth the trip just for the pics!! Excellent photo and selfie ops for the whole family. A definite must if casually passing through the park. Hardly any wildflowers yet but there will be soon. Carry sticks and possibly spikes if coming from visitor center area. Still snow on the trail and it’s melting and slippery.

Hiked this on 11 Jul. Great trail, paved and easy. Great views. Snow still covering the trail bring poles if you're a beginner just in case.

Highlights:
-Hiked it on the 14th: weather and views were beautiful. Wore shorts and running shoes.
-Took my kids with me, the youngest hiker being 3. We had no issues hiking the entire route.
-No snow on the trail, just a little mud where it had melted.

Downside:
The line into the Mt Rainier Park was long between 1200-1400. We waited an hour to get into the park.

Hiked here today. Short, slightly challenging. Would have enjoyed it more if we had not been swarmed by bugs the entire hike. I’d do it again in colder weather or if I can wear a mosquito net.

Very pretty trail, nice waterfalls

Amazing views!!! Marmots and chipmunks everywhere! Remember your sunscreen cuz we forgot and 7 miles in the sun with the reflection of the snow left a nice burn....no tree canopy to shield ya. Totally totally unbelievably beautiful!!!

Beautiful

Fun trail. Challenging for beginners but I had fun keeping up with my kids. There is a waterfall past snow lake at the very end of the trail.

Spectacular one of the most beautiful trails I have ever done. There was still huge snow drifts so we could have used poles and better footwear for sure but we made it through. Given the snow covering lots of parts of the trail we ended up going closer to 7 miles to finish the loop. There are lots of offshoots so we probably took some false turns as well. The views are incredible the whole time. Lots of marmots and chipmunks on the trail as well. Beautiful waterfalls and glaciers as well.

Great hike for a 4 year old even though the bridges were washed out from winter and about 1/3 of the loop was covered in snow. The snow patches were always short enough we could find our way to the trail on the other side, and kept my son entertained and motivated.

Breathtaking! Still snow on parts of the trails, but walkable. Look for the marmots; cute and social.

Hiked today at Paradise and chose this and others trails for the views, which were spectacular. Part of this trail is still covered in enough snow that it makes it difficult if you don’t have poles or the right boots. It was also a little icy in spots.

My family went up on July 2nd. We’ve completed this hike several times before but never in the snow. We were lucky enough to see a couple marmots. It was a lot of fun but would’ve been better with microspikes .

Loved the changing vegetation and terrain. The end view was amazing. The only down part was walking back. Great is for kids and adults alike. Amazing views.

Incredible alpine scenery!

Hiked on 7/1/18. First 100 yards or so had some snow but that was it for the entire trail. No issue at all.

Hiked on 6/30/18. Easy for all ages. Some short snow covered areas near snow lake but easily traversed with normal shoes and the help of some poles.

Absolutely stunning!

amazing trail. bench lake access is kinda lame... but snow lake was beautiful and you can get right up to the lake to chill in multiple areas without overgrowth. went on 25 june and still a good bit of snow in spots of the trail

Waterfall is beautiful, hike down to the bottom is short and steep. There was a little snow along the edges melting away. I will go back.

So beautiful, any hike to see falls is amazing.

This shady walk in the woods features a waterfall at the base. We passed only one other party. Very nice.

This easy trail rewards you with wildflowers and gorgeous views. We saw many trillium in bloom in mid June.
