Wonderful, relaxing trail. Minimal folks, people passed had dogs on leash. Watch out for horse shiz, passed a beautiful horse with rider on trail. Well trafficked and gentle slopes.

No muddier than most good trails this time of the year, moderate inclines and slopes, plenty of shade but sunbeams shining through the old growth took the edge off of the cold. A few off leash dogs, no real bigs for me but as a runner I’m always a wishful that I didn’t have to stop to accommodate the usually kind and loving dog and owner. Awesome trail run, took about an hour.

Beautifully little walk! it's very accessible. There is a wooden path and a grave path aswell. the wooden path is well maintained, however, it is slippery when wet (signs posted everywhere). beautiful on a sunny day. There is a 3 dollar fee and you must do cash! There is a TON of diverse wildlife. the Resource center has books on nature and all kinds of neat finds. it's open Weds through Fri and they're VERY welcoming and fun! Not completely silent due to the highway and occasional testing of weapons from JBLM a few miles away, but it is very calming on the board walk with a beautiful view of the Olympic cascades in the front and Mt.Rainer on the way back.

great trail for kids and dogs

So glad I discovered this little trail! I ended up doing both loops in the area and combined they are 3.3 miles and it took just over an hour. My dog had lots of fun seeing all the wildlife as well. Very easy, laid back trail and I look forward to visiting again.

Not much of a hiking trail, more of a walk around the waterfall. Beautiful scenery and great for a quick outing!

Check out this video from the hike: https://youtu.be/cB3nLtFjjW4 https://www.youtube.com/HaiTran https://www.HaiHoangTran.com I got to the trailhead at around 11 AM and there were two other cars in the parking lot. It's a small lot with 11 dedicated spaces and there is no parking allowed on the other side of the road. The parking lot/trailhead is located directly at the end of a residential neighborhood and it seems like this is quite the popular dog-walking spot as I saw several locals arriving when I left. Normally I would say to arrive early in order to get a parking spot but this location doesn't seem like it's all that popular except to the people who live nearby. But from what I saw, they all walked there. This was my first time at this location and I was pleasantly surprised. I would have to say that this is my new favorite trail walk. Don't get me wrong, it's not mind-blowing or anything like that. If you've done a local hike with a lot of wooded areas, this place is going to look very similar. But, this is a short and very manageable trail walk. For inexperienced hikers or people who are looking to get outside but don't want to expend too much energy, this is the perfect place to go. I did the Wetland Forest Loop Trail which is around 2 miles long. The trail is clearly marked and easily navigable. On my hike, there was still some frost on the ground but nothing that caused any trouble. The trail was largely in good condition. Some portions were covered by wet leaves. This could be an issue if you're not watching where you step. There was no snow and very little mud. There was only one muddy stretch of land that was less than 50 feet long. I had no issues with bugs until the very end, passing Lake Lucinda. They all congregated in one tiny swarm that I had to walk through. Again, I was pleasantly surprised by this trail and can definitely recommend it. It's an easy walk with some good views. A very nice break from the city.

Great trail No dogs allowed Kayaking here starts April 16th Loved this trail A bit of mud in the trail in the forest area.

Slightly more difficult than easy. I would rate this trail moderate because a majority of it is uphill. Beautiful views of the mountains and the water. Loved this 2 hour hike.

nice shady trail with several access points and great elevation if you want to train for a hike or get a little extra workout
