Fun trail, recommend to do it clockwise because that's more fun and you get the very steep part out of the way. Dress in layers becaus you will get cold of all the wind at the top. I highly recommend taking the .4 mile in total detour to Little Summit for amazing views of the other islands.

Absolutely love this trail, it's one of my favorites . I hike this trail every time I get to Orcas Island .

Great hike and not too muddy right now

Nice walk through a wooded area. Crossed the road and walked on the beach for a bit. Good warm up or ending walk if you attach it to another hike.

Good trail. Minus one star because the last 2 miles are along a road. The one picture attached to this trail is definitely not from it...

This is totally worth the sweat! Mercifully short switch backs lead to a viewpoint. The view is gorgeous and a great rock ledge to take a water break. Rated easy, but it shouldn’t be- it’s quite steep.

Nice and semi long hike. Beautiful views of the lake. Perfect for families and spouses that love nature but not looking for a challenge!

Ocean views of Obstruction Isl and Blakely are awesome!

Linked to trail from south campground, taking southern part of Cascade Lake trail to connect. After reaching Mt Constitution, looped back on northern part of Cascade Lake trail. ~14 mi logged via AllTrails, truly an awesome hike!

Should be called Mt constitution down and back up. Incline on the end was tough. Went in October… Misty cool weather. Could have sworn that I saw a group of vampires playing baseball in a meadow at one point. Proposed to girlfriend here. Overall great hike

good moderate trail. pretty hefty grade the whole way, but not super long and the view on top is worth it. my seven year old took it in stride.

So so so cool!

Our opinion-we agree its best to go clockwise!Great trail.....a hinny kicker going up but worth the views- and not just from the top. The forest is filled with moss covered trees and ferns...so quiet. The last mile or so around mountain lake is a most excellent ending.

Great trail for all skill levels. Midpoint at the beach with a beautiful view, tide pools, and many rocks to gather. My 2.5 yo and 5 yo loves this one!

Well groomed and no steep hills make this hike a nice short dip into the forest. Careful of the nettles just off the sides of the trail.

Great hike! We missed where little summit trail starts and ended up at the tower by car. We hiked downhill for a mile anyway and then back uphill. We then drove out looking for other trails found a trail for Twin Lakes and did that one as well for 2.2 miles one way. Can’t go wrong with any of the trails!

Such a wonderful trail. Clearly marked and beautiful views and scenery. If you start at Mt Constitution you can hike 2.2 miles to Little summit and then hike back if you don’t want to do the whole loop. For a movie I would say this would be challenging. For other hikers I would say this is moderate.

Steep short section, nice trail.

We did just the trail around Mtn Lake, 3.9 mi. Super nice trail, easy to navigate and well groomed. We did it clockwise so a bit of a hill towards the end but very manageable.

This trail is very gorgeous and is very mild. We started in the afternoon since it’s not too long and there aren’t a lot of elevation gains. We did a larger loop and included the Cascade Falls as well. The Fall is for sure a beautiful spit you want to include in your trail. In general there are very nice views of the lake as you walk around it. We saw more than 15 deers which was very amazing.

I read a few of the reviews ahead of time, and I think there needs to be caveats to the difficulty rating: 1) if you go clockwise, this is a moderate trail, because you stair-step to the top; conversely, if you go counter-clockwise, it is a more sustained and difficult climb, making it more medium-hard; 2) my wife (who is four months pregnant when we did the loop) and I are from Colorado and have hiked some very challenging 14’ers in years past, meaning this is a moderate difficulty trail in Colorado. On that same note, this will be a more difficult hike for people from low elevations who don’t hike much. As for the quality of the trail, it was exceptional. Very well maintained and relatively smooth the summit was amazing, and the tower at the top was very cool to walk up! I highly recommend this hike!

Amazing and challenging hike, well worth the effort to see fabulous views. First section is the hardest, and once you hit the midpoint, it is not too challenging. The chumps who drove up to the top missed out, bigly. Would choose this hike again. Nice facilities at the top to get water and snacks.

Well maintained. Last push is pretty steep. Views from top are superb.

This was a beautiful, well-maintained, mostly shaded trail from the top of Mount Constitution. The worst incline is at the area near the summit of Mount Constitution. Along the way we found a hidden lake and let the dog take a dip!

Excellent hike! Started at Rosario Marina. Short section of VERY steep but mostly pretty moderate.

This was a great hike and dog friendly. We did it counter clockwise and highly recommend that direction. Beautiful views of the lake. Took us about 3 hours of hiking time. Concessions at the top were a nice surprise! The ice cream at “Sugar on top” was delicious!!!

Easy, flat out and back through the forest. Kid friendly. Turn right on Crescent Beach Road to walk into town for lunch. Or turn around and then drive on to Buck Bay Shellfish for the best seafood on the island.

Loved the hidden beach!
